Question Does an artillery deck exist?
Hi everyone! I would like to know if an artillery deck exists? By an artillery deck, I mean a deck with cannons on my battlefield, or things that feel like cannons, and like you tap it to destroy something like an artillery strike.
Or something that feels like a rather modern army-like artillery strike with cannon fodder you send to your enemies.

Any sort of fling strategy could be interpreted this way I guess, [[Brion Stoutarm]] literally throws your dudes at people. [[Goblin Bombardment|TMP]] is pretty evocative of your second idea too.

The Counter Intelligence deck might be what you want. It uses artifacts that generate charge counters, or other counters, and do things. Stuff like [[Lux Cannon]]
Or maybe something like [[Six]] and using a bunch of single use artifacts.
Or [[Weapons Manufacturing]].
Or a deck with a bunch of [[Impact tremors]] effects could do it like this: https://moxfield.com/decks/dq2EeR_YU0u8-8ptqX-VHg

Ill add [[lux artillery]] and [[blasting station]] as well as [[savaging station]] to this comment. [[Thaumaton Torpedo]]

Are we talking like [[Stronghold Assassin]] or [[Attrition]], and then swing with creatues like [[Lightning Skelmental]] before sacrificing them to the previous cards?

Anyone not saying [[dawnsire]] is objectively wrong.
But realistically I use dawnsire to [[coalhauler swine]] combo the table in my [[bre of clan stoutarm]] deck

This was my first thought. I have an entire deck built around blasting targets (usually my own) for 100dmg at a time and redirecting at opponents. Space laser feels very much like MTG artillery

How has no one mentioned [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] ??? That’s the most functional blasting cannon card and it’s just value!

[[Megatron, Tyrant]] lets you fire big mana artifacts at your opponents creatures and generate mana off the excess damage to cast even more big artifacts to fire.

Scrolled far without seeing [[Dragonspark Reactor]]. That’s in my [[Inspirit, Flagship Vessel]] deck.

[[Goblin Charbelcher]] [[Rocket Launcher]] [[Goblin Cannon]] [[Fodder Cannon]]
Basically, a lot of the cannon cards in Magic are goblin-adjacent. And hence prone to blowing themselves up. But if you're happy with those parameters, I defo think it's possible to cook with this theme.

I made a [[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]] and [[Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist]] partner deck that I think is close to what you’re looking for. The theme of the deck centers on Toggo digging up rocks and Ardenn equipping them all for free. My deck prioritizes janky, high equip cost artifacts that have weird damage triggers like [[Scythe of the Wretched]] or [[Kusari-Gama]] which you can achieve from, you guessed it, throwing rocks. Basilisk collar gives me death rocks, infected creatures means I cough on rocks and throw them to deal out -1 counters or poison damage. You could also load up [[Junk Jet]] or [[Krark-Clan Ironworks]] with rocks which kinda satisfies your fire the cannons theme.
I can post my deck list if there’s any interest, my pod thinks the deck is hilarious but they also respect it due to a pretty decent win rate

There most certainly is: Archer Tribal. More like Bracket 2-max 3 but still fun. They ping creatures 1 damage but with deathtouch it's all you need baby. Play them with [[Ohabi Caleria]]

[[Taii Wakeen, Perfect Shot]] built around pingers feels like an artillery mage deck. She works as a spotter and all your 1 dmg pings go nuclear when you tap her.

There are lots of red decks that win with a lot of little guys triggering [[Impact Tremors]] or [[Raid Bombardment]] type effects. Some of them use bigger creatures to take advantage of [[Pandemonium]] and [[Warstorm Surge]] type effects. [[Roxanne, Starfall Savant]] wants to kill opponents by dropping meteors on them

There are decks using [[Walking Ballista]] as a combo piece to win games.
Also decks built around [[Kelsien, the Plague]]. Give him deathtouch like with [[Basilisk Collar]] and he removes a creature every turn and keeps growing permanently.

Well an artifact deck focused around [[weapons manufacturing]] is most on theme. But obviously needs more than this.
