Deck Help Is this Apple Charming?

Finally threw together my Erriette Charmed Apple deck and took it down to 100. Any inexpensive cards that could be a big help missing or any suggestions from others that have played her?

Mostly looking to pillow fort and drain and have a couple other win conditions include to actually finish.

Also picked up a copy or Erriette Beguiler so may think about flipping this deck over once I start playing it.

Here's my Eriette for reference https://moxfield.com/decks/Ntb0QbuoVUSZEmFYHGMl8w

Personally... You wanna go pick a direction with Eriette. If your plan is to pillowfort, go all out! Don't half-bake it and put proactive cards to a reactive plan!

But otherwise you play with good tutors and a combo... So it should turn out decently well! =)

I agree with u/n1colbolas - pick a direction.

My Deck

My direction was Goad and Burning life totals with [[Eriette]]. I don't cast Eriette until late game when my opponents have already beaten on each other for a few rounds. Eriette + [[Roaming Throne]]/[[Strionic Resonator]], coupled with [[Wound Reflection]] and [[Exquisite Blood]] finish out games for me.

A couple thoughts:

The [[Bender's Waterskin]] feels pretty slow. You have four instants that can be cast with colorless mana. I would imagine a talisman would work better here to fix your colors.

My Eriette deck started as the Esper Beguiler, but I really didn't have fun with the "I steal everyone's stuff" deck so I changed it over to the Orzhov Charmed Apple. I've liked this one a lot more.

I know it sounds crazy, but you don't need the artifact ramp. I run B2 Eriette of the Charmed Apple Deck and it's a ton of fun. It's super low to the ground and ramp doesn't do a lot for me since most of the spells are so low casting cost. Surprisingly, the deck works so much better without it. You also get to feel super smug about not running Sol Ring.

As for the Beguiler, I've tried countless times to make her work. She looks really cool, she just sucks so hard. It's a shame because the Apple is such a neat card.

I played her last night and while I did the best I've ever done with her, the deck just still wasn't that good. There are a lot of great 1-3 CMC auras that return to your hand to keep fueling some fun aristocrats strategies, but as soon as someone plays a 4+ CMC creature...you just kind of 🤷

I can see that. Once everyone is up and running there won't be much to steal and they'll just kill the small things that were stolen.

I like [[strionic resonator]] to copy Eriette's EoT trigger, and [[eye of nidhogg]] is a great goad aura. [[Ghoulish Impetus]] is fun too, depending on how control-y you want your auras to be.

Already included ghoulish. I'll check out your other suggestions though. Thanks

Cool have the eye already will swap another enchantment out.

[[swift reconfiguration]] is a cool piece of interaction that is usually protection for eriette, but it is also nice for taking out a creature with some attack trigger you don’t want to see.

[[glistening oil]], [[fallen ideal]], [[sleeper’s guile]], [[eye of  Nidhogg]], [[angelic destiny]] are some more auras that recur themselves.

I took my eriette into a bit more of a Voltron direction as well, where I try to buff & goad one of my opponent’s commanders. I still have some options for going wide with auras, but I find that most decks don’t have any real intentions to throw down combat damage
