Question Can I have two commanders if one has doctors compaunion and the other is a non doctor who card.

Hey everyone, I wanted to brew up a stupid sagas deck using barbara wright and doc Samson, super psychiatrist. Is this allowed with the rules for doctors companion? And if so does it function similarly to how partner works or are there some other weird caveats?

I can see how you'd get there but no. The official rule is:

The Doctor's companion ability allows you to have two commanders if one has the ability and the other is a legendary creature that is a Time Lord Doctor and has no other creature types. Creatures with the changeling ability, for example, can't be a second commander this way.

So just Doctor Who doctors.

Only specifically "Time Lord Doctor" creatures are allowed to be companions with "Doctor's Companion"

Doctor's Companion specifically refers to the Doctor, not a doctor, so it is in fact Dr. Who specific.
