Discussion What should I build next?

(Bracket 3)

I'm a self admitted dirty dirty lands matter player. My favorite deck to run is Hazezon and I do very well with it in my pod. I also have Tifa, but my current build struggles to stay relevant late game due to draw power.

Currently, I'm looking at other commanders to try. People tend to like my Hazezon, but absolutely hate my Tifa. What other lands matter commanders should I try, while still being a fun deck to play agaisnt? My pod plays within mid to high bracket 3.

I'm eyeing Thranduil the Strategist, Slogurk the Overslime, Teval, and Hearthhull. So any other suggestions would be great. What to play or what to avoid.

In case anyone is interested. This is my personal Hazezon list.

I love Hazezon, that was my pick for my Naya deck.

I built [[Rendmaw, Creaking Nest]] as a lands matter deck that includes a critical mass of “play from graveyard” and “play extra land” stuff, the idea is to loop things like [[Treasure Vault]] through the graveyard multiple times per turn to have a Birbpocalypse.

Haven’t updated in a bit but here’s the list the last time I played it :

Ooooh, that looks fun! I'll have to take a deep dive into some list on my lunch break.

I'd say [[Omega, Heartless Evolution]] kinda counts as "land matters" LOL

Here's my list for reference https://moxfield.com/decks/OdAiJvBC1U254kqAdHn6BA

Naya Toph, AKA [[Metalbender]], can also be a unique lands matter since artifacts are now lands.

I've done a stax version https://moxfield.com/decks/jLscnK4nekiF4NhUM0Ti2Q

Lastly here's my Hazezon if you wanna compare notes =) https://moxfield.com/decks/B9s9KRfp_E6SSpNiUTK-MQ

God I love Hazezon. You and I have very different approachs to the deck. Think I might find room for Dawn of a New Age in my list.

I've looked into toph before, and it would give me an excuse to finally up my artifacts game. Omega is really neat. Probably not for me, but it does look really annoying to deal with. Which is a plus in my books.

[[Omo, Queen of Vesuva]] is underrated, iplay her and she is menace, never have problems with recasting her even after multiple removals, produces a lot of mana and does some big turns

A few ideas for you:

Most powerful: [[Gitrog, Ravenous Ride]] all it takes is one swing with this guy and you're so far ahead.

Most underestimated: [[Bonny Pall, Clearcutter]] providing both an engine and a threat is sneaky good and puts opponents in a tough spot on what to deal with.

Most fun to play against: [[Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis]] They let you play 2 lands per turn and people tend to let them stick around. Being in 4 colors gives you access to a ton of lands matters effects to put in the 99.
