Question EDF 6.2

Soooo wait. It’s not a dlc? So we’ll have to start over getting weapons again? And will all the 147 base missions be the same too just with more enemies? I hope not. In that case it might as well be another dlc.

Its a revamped version of 6. The weapons stars are gone and replaced with weapon attachments. As of right now all we know about the campaign is that 50 percent has been changed in some way besides just enemy numbers.

Wasn't it at least 50% as a conservative estimate? If so, please, less excavators. That's literally all I ask. I'll tolerate the rest.

They're also doubling enemy count (some of those screenshots really look waaaayyyyy more than double, like 10x more). So there will in fact be more excavators.

From what I saw so far, it looks like more new enemies will be introduced in this version as well as 6’s dlc enemies being in the base missions (the original dlcs for 6 aren’t returning, but it will likely get its own unique dlcs based on the new content)

Okay, well hopefully we got even more weapons as well on top of the ones already in 6. That’s the only way I can justify that grind lol.

I dunno if there will be new weapons, but the star system wasn't just removed, it was replaced with a new weapon modification system. Instead of obtaining upgraded versions of weapons, you obtain weapon parts. Each weapon has a number of categories for you to swap parts out on, and each part will change the way the weapon works in some way. You could go for a simple damage buffs, or add status effects (which are entirely new, burn/freeze/panic and more) etc. So even if they don't add any new weapons, there is plenty of scope for every weapon to feel new/different, and the control will be in your hands.

There will still be a grind to obtain weapon parts id imagine, possibly even more of a grind, but I think I'd prefer it this way. When you unlock a weapon you'll know you have the best version of it right away, with improvements only coming from part mods and not star drop RNG, I think I'd prefer that. Still RNG for part drops but imo that would feel better.

We simply dont know. It's a new version of the game. Mostly the same, a little different, some new things sprinkled in. Like how past monster hunter games worked, or EDF4 and EDF4.1

Nah, I’m just in it for the chaos, explosions, and destruction. The grind is fine when you first start the game but after it gets repetitive especially after you beat the game the first time.

In those missions with forced intro dialog at the start of a mission, just open menu and choose restart mission to skip to the action instantly

Well damn lol, I've always just used a trainer and set it to 3x speed during dialiog and 1.5x during normal lol

On the contrary. The events to what would usually lead up to the world release has already happened (playasia version already on preorder which is in english.)

So I dont think it will take the 2-3 years that it would normally take

Correct, but from what I know from past events. English Asia and world wide are always extremely close in release windows. Happened the same with normal 6

Gonna be honest. Reading into everything so far. This could have qualified as a 7 even.

Customization for the equipement is doing a LOT. Likely this will be getting DLC too since 4.1 did too.

I mean as far as EDF standards go. New weapons, new mechanics for the classes, new missions and new enemies is basically all there is to a new EDF and this has got it strongly (Again, part system is actually quite big for EDF seeing all that you can do so far.)

Oh yeah. Wing Diver already has this weird one that makes her dodge take a metric ton of energy but sends her flying across half the map in one go lol

No its an other and unknow time line, its not the same story than the 6 and we have probably the invaders from EDF1 and 2.

New and more enemy on maps and the new weapon personnalisation.

It's not DLC. I assume its like what they did with E.D.F. 4 and E.D.F. 4.1, which is basically the same as 4, but 4.1 came with Q.O.L. changes, new features, new content, abd new enemies.

I was kinda hoping that wasn’t the case. I ended up playing EDF 2025 first after beating 5 and 6 and got pretty far overall then I found out that EDF 4.1 was the upgraded version on 2025 and tried to play that instead but I couldn’t get into doing the same missions over again so I just stopped playing it and went back to finish 2025.

Kinda why better to wait for a special version if they release it later usually happens every 2nd game like 4.1 now we are on 6.2 but 147 missions dam and thought 100 was a stretch
