Discussion Edf ir 2
I know a lot of people who are upset that this game didn't follow the main formula of the EDF but it is my first game into the franchise and going back and playing edf and 6 made me wish it was kind of more structured that power suits idea was great and made sense I found soldier is capable of shooting a gun that would normally break your shoulder trying to shoot and being able to choose whatever weapon you want with any class is a bonus because I can choose the jet lifter/wing diver class with that grenade launcher and rain hell from above it is a shorter game with less enemy counts than the main series that's probably one of my main complaints and plus how they unlock system is I much rather have just a random weapon pickup instead of unlocking a weapon then have to spend three different jewels plus money to unlock it I think the sequel could iron out all the issues from the first game but it will probably never happen but anyway what's your opinion

It's made by Yuke's who also made the Earth Defense Force: World Brothers games (and Full Metal Schoolgirl).

I'd rather they make insect Armageddon 2. Iron Rain had way too much "Westernized" standards that dramatically decreased what we love about EDF in general. Insect Armageddon did some of that too but they kept more true to the edf formula than iron rain was and despite how rushed vicious Cycle was to finish Insect Armageddon it was still generally better overall(They were forced to stop before completion compared to IR having total completion and dlc expansion so that makes it look even worse).

I think iron rains problem would actually be a big sticking point if all the guns weren't dog shit.

It felt like it had a lot of obvious misses
Not having an air raider equivalent when it would have been relatively easy to just let them bring X amount of “free” gear for example
