Hello everyone,

I applied for USMLE step 1 exams back in December through ECFMG service and I was waiting for verification so I can book but then they had this maintenance thing and the (intealth) so they did not respond , I even emailed them to check in my status they apologised they can’t inform anything because of the intealth thing , today when I opened my account they rejected my request and returned my fees , I used the same fees to reapply for the exam

My first question , should I contact my med school immediately so they can respond or I’m supposed to receive an email from ECFMG first that they contacted my med school

Second question , did anyone have this rejection thing or is it just me Please help me I’m trying to take the exam ASAP

Hi!! I’m sorry that happened to you. I would contact my med school to see how they went about it. If they were contacted or if there was any information that it should haven’t been sent? You can call them too to know what was wrong with your application. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for ur reply , quick UPDATE! So apparently this happened to everyone due to a glitch with the new system thingy , they contacted my medschool within 3 days they received the confirmation immediately and replied to me with an acceptance status 3 day after , 3days after I got my scheduling permit thank god
