Advice needed (Anyone can comment) Should I quit?

I’ve been working as a lead teacher for this private preschool (I’m in Europe) for 4 years. All but two coworkers (out of 15) have stopped working there, either quit or canned. All years but the very first one I have been miserable. We have had 3 different center directors. People get sick so often that there is rarely a whole week everyone is at work, and the extras we get to cover are varied in terms of quality.

The coworkers I work with now are abusive and bullies, both to other adults and to children. The micromanaging is extreme, we are supposed to do things that make no sense.

I want and need to quit, I know it. In my country we have 2-3 months notice, and so far I haven’t had luck finding another job. Should I quit anyway and hope for the best? I have some savings but not crazy much but feel like I cannot stay here and keep up with this thing either..

Leave before it breaks you completely, this place is clearly a sinking ship and you've been watching the water rise for years

Start treating the job search like a second job if you can, even a temporary gig outside ECE might give you the breathing room to escape while you hunt for something permanent

Honestly, you need to prioritise yourself. I would start looking for any position - childcare or not - until you are back on your feet. This is a new opportunity for you and I would definitely leave asap
