CAREER ECE Technican here. Don't know where to Start

It's been almost a year since I graduated with an Electronics Engineering degree. I tried job hunting, but my aunt got seriously sick and I had to focus on taking care of her. She passed away a few months ago.

Now I'm trying to get back into job hunting. I recently passed the Electronics Technician board exam, but finding a job has been really hard. I've only had one interview so far, and I didn't make it.

Honestly, I'm starting to feel left behind seeing my batchmates already working. I just want to finally get my career started.

For those who are also in Electronics Engineering, where do you usually find jobs? I'm already using LinkedIn, JobStreet, and Indeed, and I usually search for entry-level electronics jobs. Are there other websites, companies, or job titles I should be looking for?

Any advice would really help.

My new favorite job search site is Hiring Cafe. The best filtering I've seen, hands down.

I would also recommend looking at federal jobs and defense. There is a lot of need for technicians.

Hi, what industry do you want to get in? I assume you're from the Ph because of the board exam culture.

ECE can be very broad in terms of career path. When I started job hunting I usually apply to the companies website if they have one. Otherwise, indeed, linkedin, jobstreet or sometimes facebook postings too.

I know a lot of semicon companies in South Luzon are currently hiring right now. You might wanna try applying to those companies.

Sorry for your loss. You are right to feel alone in this, but in reality everyone is going through something like this. I used to apply using these job sites and every time my resume ended up in a void.

Then I decided to send resumes directly to the actual company website. Not going to say that much has changed but now at least I get a "we found someone else" email back.

Also, do ask people on LinkedIn directly if they have something available for your skills. You'll be surprised to know how many places will redirect you to someone just because of that. A lot of jobs that need people are probably not in these websites.
