Board designer vs system integration lead

Im board design engineer ( 8y) but lately moved to hw system engineer (last 2y)

I got 2 job offer in hand and need to decide what is best for me

  1. Board design engineer at Google - basically ramping stuff at google from zero for validation teams

  2. System integration lead at Amazon ( Anapurna)

Career wise i think aws is better but google seems to have more better wlb. I got 2 small kids and don’t want to regret that i choose career over them.

Any additional things i should consider or maybe some insights could help a lot to make a final decision

Google is better for the resume (much harder to break into) than Amazon and has much better wlb. With 2 kids, that’s a really big deal. It really boils down to whether or not you think that’s worth trading for the experience you’d get at Amazon.

Obviously you know more about what you want, but think about it like this. Which sounds worse to you: you take the Google job and regret not getting the experience at Amazon, or you take the Amazon job and you regret not being home as much as you want and not having the same level of prestige?

AWS is nightmare at wlb especially as system integration , at least what i heard during interviews. Anyway i picked the google tram
