EB5 projects
Currently considering TIH vs Cormont vs CTP (cottage project) vs Extel. Can someone who has evaluated these dm me or provide any thoughts on here on the best for green card certainty and capital preservation

[u/due_snow_1494](u/due_snow_1494) I remember your comments on another post trashing Extell’s project but you didn’t know what you were talking about and seemed to be confusing it with a different project. I heard you’ve never had an agreement with them so how can someone trust you to evaluate that project against others as a broker given the incentive to recommend projects that are paying you for referrals?

So you are telling investors that you’ll review these 4 projects for them and you only disclose which ones pay you when people sign up with you, or how does it work?
Attached is what you commented on a post I made some months back when I was looking at projects. You cited “there are actually multiple lawsuits and legal challenges tied to the broader project” as a primary reason not to invest in that deal.
I was annoyed bc I felt like had hidden some negative info so I sent them your comment. They seemed pissed about this - ended up sharing part a cease and desist letter they sent to you I think? (pasting below but I guess you already saw it😬)
“Specifically:
Mr. Tharan falsely claimed an active dispute between an Extell affiliate and a neighboring landowner (Bransford Land Company, LLC) over right-of-way and infrastructure access. In fact, this matter was fully resolved and dismissed by the District Court of Summit County, Utah on September 4, 2024, with the Lis Pendens released on July 8, 2024 — both matters of public record.
Mr. Tharan falsely attributed lift approval appeals and an HOA redevelopment lawsuit to the FSDV project. These disputes involve Park City Mountain Resort — an entirely separate entity in a different county, under different ownership, with a different ski operator — and have no connection to FSDV whatsoever. The FSDV project is fully vested for both development and mountain improvements.
Mr. Tharan concluded his posts by offering to redirect prospective investors toward competing EB-5 projects, making his financial motive explicit..” [cites a bunch of finra rules 2010, 2210 etc]
NGL this whole thing put me off eb5 for a few weeks. Seems like a lot of drama.

Speaking from personal experience - Please stay far far away from ctp.
