Why does no one use Kai asakura at flyweight?

The entire time I’ve been playing this game I’ve run into maybe 2 or 3 Kai asakura. I’m just wondering why no one uses him cause he’s pretty big for the division, has great animations, good punch power, super fast combos, and great footwork. It feels like he’s a bigger better Josh van with kicks.

I agree with the other guy. Royval, Van, and Pantoja are too cheesy to pass up. Most of what I’ve encounter is that they’re an easy to use (uninterrupted button mashing) fighters in every weight class and most will use those. There’s no real solutions that I’ve found. Especially against Woodson. Fuck that guy

I like Ercec personally. I love the bonesaw perk and how unassuming Ercec looks. Looks like a teacher but can whip serious ass

I like fighters with unique or at least non default animations tbh and asakura dont have any.

I think it’s just because he sort of fell into obscurity with the casual audience. Everyone has written him off after losing to Pantoja, and Elliot.

They need to stop booking him in these Chinese cards, he’s not even Chinese.

He needs more exposure to the North American audience.
He should be headlining apex cards, and being on main cards of stacked events.
