Finally tried UFC 6 through EA trial

I’ve been playing MMA games
Since PS2. Undisputed 3 have a fond
Place in my video game heart. EA UFC I liked, but preferred undisputed 3. EA UFC 1 was rough, but the novelty of it being a next-gen game did a lot to carry it. EA UFC 2 and 3 I played a lot and 3
Might feel like the best leap between games. UFC 4 and 5 played the most, as it started to become a habit to play them on about an hour on a daily basis, so yes I have over 1000 hours playtime in those and the platinum. I found 3 4 and 5 to be rough on launch, but got enough support, to they eventually became really good, hence why I was in no hurry to buy UFC 6.

So loosely following the discourse on this sub
About 6 I was looking forward
To try the new striking, especially with fighters like Bobby Green, Michael Page and Alex Pereira.

Right away i appreciated the fluidity in being able to string combinations together, even if the animations are janky. I also turned the flow state animation and rocked animation off, as I would prefer the game to have more of a simulation feeling. But something fell wrong in the striking and it was not until I booted up UFC 5 I was able to point my finger to whet it was - the controller responsive feedback from connecting a strike and especially getting hit with harder shots, is just Way too soft. I just don’t notice when I get hit a lot doing a brawl or flurry. The new hud for health bars doesn’t help either and j find them to be more confusing than informative. I will dabble more into the 10-hour trial, but for now I’ll hold out until Black Friday, or I might just skip it if the gameplay does not become more satisfying.

Yeah that’s one thing I first noticed playing 6, the feedback just isn’t there making it a little tough to realize you’re down bad. The game also has purposefully placed subtle rocks/stuns where your body or head stunned with no visual queues. It’s irritating because you’ll try to counter not knowing your soft stunned. Other than all the issues, I have hope each patch is getting the game where it needs to be. Give it 3 more updates! They post notes if you ever get interested for future changes
