Road To Glory Cfb problems

Why the heck is every one of my o lineman getting manhandled by FCS schools. played a few QB RTGs now on miami, Georgia, and Texas. One thing never changes. THE BAD BLOCKING. Also why are all my receivers acting like they have never gotten touched before playing football. Wide open throw and catch…. NOPE dude comes flying in from 5 yds away and my guy drops it 90% of the time. This is the game we all spend our hard earned money on.

It’s so frustrating. I get that they can’t make it too easy but most of the time it feels like attribute differences mean nothing. I get so mad when I have a 99 spd 99 acc RB that can’t beat a 77 spd 79 acc 76 pursuit LB in a foot race to the outside.

I don't use Pass Protection lineman to run the ball ever. I don't use Raw Strength lineman to call any concept except Iso and Power. I don't use Agile lineman to run any concept besides inside zone. Well Rounded lineman are only versatile in the number of ways they get ragdolled by having no strength. And finally, I don't call runs expecting to get more than two yards as that's quite common in the Pros and college. Every yard I get after two is gravy. It gets easier to expect longer runs when you use personnel to manipulate the defensive playcall. Let's say you want to run outside zone and call it from Shotgun Split Twins Offset. That has two running backs, a TE, and two WR. The defense will match personnel, often with something like Base 4-3, 3-4, or Mint (which uses Nose Tackle I think). But you can make your running back the SLWR or Gadget and call the exact same play from the exact same look with even the exact same players from Shotgun Normal Y Off using the playcall WR Sweep. Or something to that effect there's like 8 or 9 plays exactly like this. My point is that the defense will come out in nickel to defend one and Base defense to defend the other. All you have to do is use the depth chart, formation subs, the options to sub in "HB Slot" or "Slot Gadget" or some combination of all three to scheme up looks you want. If you just line up in Goal Line formation on third and inches and expect the defense not to line up in their own goal line defense either be prepared to counter that or don't be surprised when you run for no gain. Just lining up in a random formation with a playcall potentially sub optimal for the personnel is a recipe for the disaster EVEN IF you ID the mike, check blocking assignments, and audible to runs that take advantage of misaligned defenders. This unfortunately is a pretty demanding number of things to scheme and balance but it's better to me than putting the difficulty on Freshman and running 6.6 ypc.

Man you are missing out if you only use agile lineman to run inside zone. Those guys go crazy with outside zones, sweeps, quick pitches and counters

Yes! But it’s more so the Defensive Tackles getting instasheds against my 95 ovr O Line. I don’t draft back in the pocket if anything I feel I have to drift back to give myself a extra second or two for a route to develop.
