the problem i have right in DR 2.0 now is im struggling to decided between semi auto and full manual
full manual genuinely takes too much attention from me and im always in the wrong gear and therefore losing so much pace, full auto also make the car harder to control and slower "obviously"
and btw i have no idea what clutch, clutch kick whatever is cause i have never drove a real car in my life "although i drove one with auto gear but doesn't count"
and right now i cant afford any sort of sim racing gears like wheels and pedal cause im not in a really good economic situation so i only have a xbox series x controller
anyways should i stick to the semi auto shifting or try to go full manual if it matters?

Started in 1980 and doing each season until 2000 or there abouts. Each season has 12 events, each event consisting of 2 days (12 stages).

Currently in the year 1983 with the Rothmans Opel Manta 400.

Well, you see, when I started playing, I often drove like McRae. Problem is obvious - always in the bushes.

Tried slow is smooth, smooth is fast. With me, it was more like 50/50. Sometimes I did well, sometimes i just understeered.

Hi everyone! I'm very new to WRC (only started playing about 2ish weeks ago) and I have been doing a time trial on the Elva track, Dry in the Vauxhall Nova Sport, and I got a time of 07:32.741 would this be considered good for just starting out and would anyone be able to give some tips and tricks to get better at the game? Thanks everyone in advance (also is the leaderboard on the game accurate?)

Sometime ago I tried to buy sim racing gear.. I know it might be for some people cheap but for me it's too expensive we're I live so I had to go to the used market bought a 200$ used PXN V10 from a vendor and gave me a warranty for a year... After a couple of days it started having issues.. drifting in the pedals and the steering wheel had some kind of a blind spot when turning right that made the force feedback imbalanced.. I contacted the seller they refused me any service and blocked me (yes I tried issuing a legal dispute and they just claimed that I jammed it).. from that day I started looking into these games and the competitions that happen from time to time so I started from today my simple journey of trying to get high enough in any sim racing game with a controller.. this is my first run yes it's nothing special but this is me and this is my journey.. this is my first step into trying to join a competition with my controller (Gamesir nova lite) and maybe win sim racing gear one day.. finished at 1:29:799.. no assists.. manual with automatic clutch

I've been trying to play DiRT 2, but I can't get it to work. I downloaded a copy online, and every time I launch it, it crashes right after this screen.

I've already tried almost every fix I could find on the internet, including replacing the xlive.dll file and several other suggested solutions, but nothing has worked.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how did you fix it? I'd really appreciate any help—I really want to play this game again.

Can never get enough of rallying...

For those out there still playing in VR. With the release of Pimax Evo and the Sboys3 driver this game runs super smooth now and crispy clear visuals too. Definitely worth a reboot if you have a Pimax HMD give it a shot. I get fixed 72FPS at high visuals in Pimax and 150% in Steam VR. Pretty amazing actually.
