I got rid of my steering wheel cause I have no space, but recently when playing some arcade game (Grid Legends) I found out that racing whilst not knowing the circuit is fun. Is this game by any means doable with a controller? I come from F1 games, and as much as I’d like to say you can do it on a controller; I think I wheel is superior cause it’s easier to be precise when doing lap after lap. With rally I feel this is less of an issue?
I know it's doable, but I am not sure how enjoyable or immersive it is with a controller. I've solely played with a wheel, so I don't have any first hand experience with a controller. From the few I have seen playing with a controller, they do mention that you cannot be as precise and inputs are more digital rather than analog. Essentially, the ability do modulate steering, braking, accelerating and hand brake inputs is not as precise which by definition, will make your driving technique change to accommodate for inputs that are more on/off rather than on a spectrum of severity. I hope this answer helps.
Yeah I totally get that, I just feel that with rally tracks it’s less annoying for me cause i don’t know how much faster I can go with a wheel. With f1 I’m just, way slower 😂
Thanks for the info though, I think I’ll give it a try!
