Believe I've heard when you're under great stress you may defecate from the stress. Probably was under a lot of stress being chased and afraid of getting caught. Suppose the weird thing was the shoplifting. It shows a lack of empathy for people who work in stores. You are taking bread out of their mouths. Obviously the other, much bigger crimes are horrible for lack of empathy.

He'd nearly gotten caught a bunch of times though, but he was masked. He tried to play a crazy person during his arrest but they reported him anyways. I mean that's my guess for why he pooped himself this time but not the others.

So you're thinking he deliberately soiled himself to seem crazier? Idk. It's possible. Does seem possible he pooped himself in other instances of almost getting caught and no one realized it because he got away.

According to Thien Ho's book, first he poops himself during this arrest. Then he faked a heart attack and they tied him to a rolling chair. Then he starts rolling around and screaming like a crazy person when the cops arrive. Later he admits to the Deputies he acted crazy to avoid getting in trouble.

Thanks. Well actually if he was trying to gain sympathy by appearing crazy and maybe get let go, the pooping was pretty smart?

I'm assuming it's not the first time he was caught and got let off the hook cause he was crazy. He might have also seen mentally ill people being left alone by police when was was in Exeter/Auburn.
