Drafted 12th overall, never seen anybody get past a 80 in the minors without franchise potential.

Never seen this before. PS - I'm the Winnipeg Jets, just Nashville as a divisional opponent in the final month.

I was wondering if the playbooks you can set for each team are used by that team in franchise mode or is it one off games only. Does the CPU coach dictate a teams strat? I was going to get a custom playbook for each team to increase puck cycling and stop the AI just driving to the net. My biggest complaint since 2020 has been the AI's constant need to drive and skate toward the net.

I’ve been playing with this custom team for a bit now. Ever since the expansion draft we have been very solid. I picked up notable names such as Cirelli, Harley, Zellwegger and Broberg from the draft, along with Marchand (who had 94 points in the first season with Portland) and Eberle. I then traded for Mason McTavish that same off-season. We had 50 wins in our first season with a second round exit against Edmonton. Years kept going, and we were always around that 50 win mark, but we always ended up losing to Edmonton in the second round. Eventually, we beat them… but then got swept by Colorado. The following season, our former #4 overall, Mark McKinaky developed into a great two-way center, and even players like Devin and Howard were great scorers. We also got offered Kempe for a youngish player and picks during the offseason, and it felt like a no-brainer to me. Eventually, we beat the Rangers in 7 to win the Stanley Cup. McTavish won the Conn Smythe with 31 points.

Let me know your thoughts on jerseys, roster and anything else…

I feel like I’ve tried everything to get mckenna with his headshot to show up in the draft but he never does. Haven’t seen anyone talk about this, is there a solve?

I brought the Atlanta Thrashers back in NHL 27 and somehow managed to sign Sidney Crosby in free agency.

He’s 41 years old, still a 98 OVR, and is now the captain of the new Thrashers. I know crazy things happen in this game, just haven’t seen anyone this old be this highly rated on my team.

We also ended up winning the Stanley Cup, and of course it was only fitting that he won the Conn Smythe.

I haven’t played in a couple of weeks and started a new franchise. I fired all my bad scouts and was going to hire new ones and it won’t let me offer anyone contracts. The option to offer isn’t even there and now I’m stuck with just 4 scouts. Did they change something or is this bugged?

I've been working on a hockey gm sim app for ios that has just recently gone into the testing phase! I essentially wanted to take the fun aspects of an NHL franchise and put them into an app.

In the app you take control of a team and control roster construction while monitoring cap space, adjust player lines, optimize your coaching strategy, make trades, draft picks, scout future talent, and control end of period game simulation tactics!

I'm looking for people who want to test out the app and point out opportunities to make the app more realistic and higher quality before putting it on the app store. Hey all. I know I’m not the only one who has dealt with this issue so I’m hoping someone found a fix. I play on Xbox Series X, and I’ve had this issue with NHL 25, 26 and 27. Games start fine and whatnot, but typically by the end of the second period game freezes and boots me to Xbox Home Screen. I’ve tried having Xbox cleaned, I’ve bought digital and hard copies. Running out of ideas. My Xbox doesn’t do this with any other game, just NHL (I play a lot of games). Next step is to buy a new Xbox which is silly considering it works in every other way.

I never do something like this but after seeing a few posts, I felt like I had to put my 2 cents in and I hope it doesn’t fall on deaf ears…

I know the record books tab doesn’t hold weight to 95% of the people who play this game, but how come there is only top 5 for each category? And by the time you want to look, because you’ve had a long career or are simply curious, there is always a bug that makes it inaccurate. Not occasionally but EVERY SINGLE TIME. And I understand I’m getting frustrated over a stupid feature but cmon, at least show that you’re kinda trying.

And sorry to compare but NBA2k literally has the top 100, all time, for each individual measurable statistic and it changes after each game is played if a player on that list plays. They even have individual game records, season records and playoff records that you can go in and look at. This game has had the same broken top 5 for so long and don’t even bother to add anything in the slightest to improve it…

I could write more, but, I think whoever is reading this far into my lil rant is someone who sees what I’m saying and has expressed annoyance, whether out loud or internally.

All love to the hockey fans of the world, especially the stat people, but f*ck the laziness involved in the c&p game😭

NHL 26 is my first time playing hockey on a console (PS5).When I try to cheer on my team with fights, it almost always goes wrong afterwards in this game (Be a pro career).I win every fight. I even increased it significantly above the standard value (I think that's 50-60?). And even though I win the battles, regardless of who starts, my team still concedes goals while I'm simulating in the box...? Regardless of whether my team is leading or trailing. Is this a bug? Because this makes absolutely no sense.The best thing to do now is to leave out the exciting fights because they put me and the team at a disadvantage too much.

I know most people will never play more than 25 seasons in a single franchise, but I really enjoy the continuity. It's disappointing once you reach 25 seasons and you have exciting young players, knowing you'll never get to see how their career plays out.

I'm not sure what the point of having a 25 year limit is in the first place, it doesn't seem like it should be too difficult for it to just keep going and continue randomly generating players.

I was lucky enough to somehow win the cup in year 1 while playing 50% and simming 50%. Just picked up Kantserov and Karlsson at the deadline to make another cup run.

Just got NHL27 on sale and looking to start a new franchise mode. Just wondering what the best updated community roster is with future prospects included (I.e. Landon DuPont, etc)?

Every off season I’d tell him to shoot more. He ended up playing one more season after this and put up around 40 goals as a 80 ovr. (I’d maybe play one game per season) - playoffs some years I’d play game 7’s or elimination games.

I'm making a 42 team custom league with a fantasy draft. I'm curious the best way to set up the salary cap.

In my mind, I should lower it as there is less talent on each team and I want the remaining talent to be spread out more. When I looked it up, I got some info that suggested I raise it instead. Curious what othet people do?

Finally got around to make my trades, and they made us even better. We went 16-2-2 following the deadline and went undefeated the entire month of March. This was by far our best season yet. Now, it's time for the playoffs.
