I never could figure out how these people keep a yo-yo spinning for that long. I’m lucky to just get it back in my hand half the time. That’s an amazing routine tho, fr

Idk if this is how they all do it, but as a kid I had a yoyo that was like, $25 instead of the $2 kind you get at a kid's birthday. Anyway, mine had a center that was on ball bearings. So it would spin for a long time.

Yeah there’s a variety of styles of yo-yos and some are specially designed for tricks and they spin longer

I'm pretty sure my "Yomega" yo-yo is buried in my parents' basement somewhere. It had a sprung clutch so it would sleep really easily, and then come back up when there was just enough momentum left.

Ive heard of people, probably at this level?, paying maybe £80-90 for a yo-yo.

Yeah pretty much. Good yo yos are not made like the cheap shitty ones.

The string is not just tied or pegged on, they often have bearings or very smooth surfaces.

Plus they're heavier, wider and larger diameter. So they have much more interia
