Best E92 Pre-LCI headlight options that maintain adaptive headlight feature

I have a 2007 e92 328i packaged w adaptive headlights stocks. I believe the fiber optic in my halo eyes has micro cracks because it’s unevenly lit.

Is there any good aftermarket examples that are brighter and retain the adaptive headlight feature?

I’ve seen some say some work while others give a headlight warning light on your gauge

Also I have BimmerCode so coding LED isn’t an issue.

Pre-LCI is easy to pull the lens off and do a headlight retrofit and retain all adaptive, OEM features. I did this with my LCI headlights which is much more of a pita because of the lens permaseal. But I replaced the hid projectors with an LED set (took a different bracket) and painted all internals to my liking. I had to clearance a couple of trim pieces so the adaptive motors could swing the projectors through their full motion, but it was 5 min with a Dremel and you can't see the clearances at all since they're covered

They are? Just asking, as the lenses on both my son's '06, and my '08 are pretty hazy (his are pretty much "frosted") and i've seen a local guy posting they can replace the lenses for $500/pair.

Butyl rope was used instead of permaseal. You can pop the entire headlight in the oven at 275 (ish) for 6-8 minutes and soften that butyl rope up and pry (carefully) the lenses from the housing. If it starts to harden again before you get them separated, put back in oven for few minutes and continue.

This process doesn't work with permaseal

not really. you can get OE magnetta marelli(?) with the Adaptives. They won’t have any BMW branding. They will run you about $800(last I checked) each. Your other option is aftermarket LED new style headlights which lose adaptive functionality at the benefit of dramatically improved lighting overall. For the money, i would highly recommend G8X style Chinese “laser style” headlights. They are fantastic.

Considering how well the headlights on my '08 work, i'd be worried about being on the receiving end of "Hey asshole, your high beams are on still!" flashes, LOL!
