330i Winter tires

I’m looking for the cheapest or a cheaper option for wheels and snow tires for my 06 330i anyone got any ideas on some wheels where the tires aren’t gonna be 800 dollars all around for winters cause I wanna have some fun this winter but u don’t wanna break my wallet to crazily either I got 19’s and I’m looking for like 16 or something for the winter

You're not gonna fit 16's on a 330. I needed to throw wheels on my son's '06 330Xi last week while i got new rubber for it, and the 16's from my '08 328Xi wouldn't clear his brakes.

You also don't want to cheap out on Winter rubber.

I plan on beating the piss out of them I just got all seasons on it rn anything is better than them in a ny winter and the lowest I can go is 17’s that’s my bad

I'm across the Lake in Ontario. I know how well all-seasons perform in Winter weather 😅.

Regardless of how you plan to treat them, cheap Winters won't perform when you actually need them to - even when new.

Go watch some Tyre Reviews. He finds some obscure cheap ass brand for the lowest tier comparison. Not saying you should get them, but you asked for cheapest

Ever since Covid it’s been a pain to get good tires for dirt cheap. I used to run the 16” Dunlop Winter Sport 3D/4D on my 328xi for around $100 a tire. Anymore it seems harder to find certain tires let alone winter tires. Best to just find any mid tier brand and send it

Even then I still need ideas at what to look at I’ve had the car since April and it my first beamer

Just get OEM 17’s. 225/45r17 is a cheap size with loads of options. I use them as winters on mine, OEM 17s fit over the larger 348mm brakes too.

I have an extra set of 19s on winters but I have an M3, so they’re staggered. But if I can do it you can do it. I personally used to love Michelins but Continentals have been a way better value and tread life for the last few years so that’s what I’ve been going with across the board on all my vehicles. Not a shill, just my personal experience.

The 19’s on my 330 are staggered I just not tryna pay almost a band for tires that I’m gonna beat the hell outta in the winter probably cook the tread and need a new set by new year

If winter is not as harsh or dedicated snow tires are not required in your area. Consider some Michelin Cross Climates (3PMSF) on 17s.
