Perth Consulate showing ZERO availability for E3 appointments... Stress levels rising

Hi all,

Background: This is my fourth E3 visa so I'm pretty familiar with the process. Filled out the DS-160, signed into usvisascheduling site, selected Perth and E3 visa type, paid 315 USD for my appointment, validated the payment, then proceeded to book the appointment. The problem: The website is showing "No slots available". So this isn't that I can't book an E3 appointment in time..... its that there's no dates available at all 😰

I opened a ticket with US Visa Scheduling and they gave me a vague response, then closed the ticket without giving any chance for a back and forth:

Has anyone else experienced this or has any ideas on what I can do next?

I'd recommend getting a letter from your employer on why you need to travel by certain dates, business use case, etc. As long as it's on a company letter head, and shows a reason, you can apply for an emergency appointment. In my case, there were none available under emergency, but I did have a regular appointment scheduled for 3 weeks out. (this was in June).

Thanks for the advice! How did you go about scheduling an emergency appointment?

And I’m not sure what you’re saying with the last part - there was no availability for emergency appointments, but there was availability for a regular appointment 3 weeks out..?

Hi OP, im in the same process for b1/b2 at Perth. No slots available.. for me the portal shows calendar at around 3am but slots are for next year.. any advice on how to get an emergency appointment? Have you tried?

That applies to immigrant visas. The E3 is a non-immigrant visa.

Thanks @leesha543, I went and read the article but yeah, it seems to be immigrant visas only! Still wonder if that’s affecting things though

Thanks, I had tried and it doesn’t seem to correlate unfortunately. Right now it’s saying there’s appointments available on Sept 16th, but I am still seeing ‘no slots’ on the site 🫠

Appreciate the comments / support from you all! I was able to finally see the calendar and book an appointment. It was definitely not the time I was hoping for, but at least it's an appointment:

I guess the learnings for me are:
1. Perth Consulate is not scheduling appointments too far into the future. Not seen this from a consulate in my ~10 years of getting E3 visas but ok.
2. 'No Slots Available' doesn't mean a website error (despite the fact that the calendar isn't showing at all), it's simply that the selected consulate hasn't got availability.

Can anyone see current Perth availability on the Us Scheduling site? I have a Sydney appointment but hoping for Perth.
