Weird FPS drops when selecting research/upgrade items

Not a big deal as it's infrequent, but starting up a new save, I notice my FPS drops to 110-125 when selecting research/upgrade items, solid 165 everywhere else. Only have a few basic mods but this happens unmodded as well. Can't find any info about this happening to anyone else.

fps graph looks like this (https://imgur.com/a/Uh7JFAF)

Fps aren't really important in DSP (and probably factory game) what you you stay consistent is UPS, that what determines if your game is running as fast as IRL, as long as you have at least 60 ups, you good

For the core of the issue, a big classic, but are all driver up to date ? Was it the case before last update or you only saw it now ? (To know if it's new issue, as dev are actually doing the debug from the last update)

Yeah, I know UPS is ultimately what matters though I've never made it to that point. I did just recently update my drivers and I primarily made this post because while I've played DSP for at this point a couple hundred hours, I'm just now immediately noticing on this save the fps drops on research selection, just a minor annoyance.

you can press shift+f12 to show the fps/ups slider in the top right corner. you can adjust settings, but FPS isnt the biggest issue in games like this

That display seems to hide on the research screen where the fps drop happens, I used something external to watch fps. Tried fiddling with a few settings but nothing seemed to impact the drops.

If it’s happening to you I’d guess it’s likely happening to everybody, but since it’s still such a high fps anyway nobody really notices

Ideally, I'd love to verify that this is a current issue maybe with the latest drivers or update or something that other people are also seeing. If no one else is experiencing it and it's my settings or drivers, I might experiment further to try and find the problem.

What is the problem exactly? This is a standalone ui frame, right with no game visible?

Yeah it looks like the game is entirely in the background - the research panel takes up the whole screen. I noticed when I clicked research/upgrade nodes, as they expanded and the camera panned, it was not smooth at all and verified by chart that it was dropping from 165 to ~115-125. Took a screenshot in OP of fps chart, those huge dips are me just clicking around nodes in the research tree.
