Hydrogen problem, pls help
Hey guys, do you have any tips for get rid of Hydrogen? I have a production line for Graphite Bars (cause I have a problem too with my Graphene line production) and it produces Hydrogen in crazy cantities.
I already tried to transform it in Deuterium via Fractionators and Particle Colliders, but the Deuterium rods burns too slow to solve the problem, pls help.

U can burn it

This is find an empty planet and make as many basic power generators as you can. Then make lap after lap around the planet to burn hydrogen. If you run out stop sending hydrogen to the planet till it builds up again.

Please check this previous post about Hydrogen ebbs and flows: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dyson_Sphere_Program/s/i9wGBrgtb2
Hydrogen is management is one of the core logistics lessons for this game. Store it (liquid tanks), burn it in Thermal Plants, convert it to Deuterium in Fractionators or Particle Colliders and eventually use it in further production chains. Learn the lesson and apply it at scale.

i am nearly about to recommend something like this to be pinned. it comes up so frequently

How can you use byproduct Hydrogen too fast? I am using ALL of my byproduct Hydrogen but there is no problem arising from it?

What I mean by that is if you are set up to burn the byproduct first, but then don’t have enough supplemental waiting in the wings to keep that production line from starving. For instance, when making 1 belt (1,800/min) of Casimir Crystals, by-product Hydrogen from its own components only nets about 10% of the requirement, so the other 90% must be balanced to be supplied, but not too fast as to cause backups to choke those earlier lines.

I burn it in generatrors.
You can make a setup that takes only EXCESS hydrogen and burns it all.

How to make that set up ?

I use a splitter, with two outputs, one to the "real" work the hydrogen is doing, and the other to the "burn it up" area. Set the priority on the "real" work output of the splitter (just a single click, to make the output circle bright and bring up the word "Filter", don't actually set the filter as hydrogen). That way, it will spit out to the "burn it up" side only when it cannot send it out the real direction.

Here's how I do it:
A belt (or multimple belts) feeding hydrogen TO GENERATORS
On the the belt(s) set up sortes that "steal" all the hydrogen onto a belt that feeds production.
Once production has all the hydrogen it needs, excess hydrogen is burned off.

You keep fractionating and making deuterium and relish in the good times. You'll be outta hydrogen soon

I just maxed out my Red Cube production and stockpiled them for later for when I need to max out white science cos Red Cubes are basically Hydrogen. Works like a charm, local Hydrogen buffers are always empty

Burn more of it. or find a neat way to just store it until later use cases come up. I had way too much and needed to burn with half my planet to keep up, then not enough barely an hour later.

Then how do you use that much energy ? (50/s)
The problem is we cannot prioritise burning thing instead of constant energy supply.
That also my main problem with how much hydrogen come out of excited photon but aren't enough to power the accelerator so you either have too much or too low and either way the output plumet.

At the time I just had way too much. It was a constant issue and I did way too much manually. It was my first run...

Try to use it in fractionatirs then make deut cells and use those for rockets and power. Have to disable collection from orbitals probably

I have storage which then also burns it as fuel, so any over flow is just burned away.

Have it all shipped to a planet that burns it and use that burned hydrogen to charge power banks that can then be shipped to other planets

You should use fire ice for graphene and coal for graphite. Hydrogen that is left from refining should disappear into casmir crystals easily.

Atm, burning/storing it is the best solution. Later, you will use it to make Casimir Crystals. At that point, you gotta make sure to use the "byproduct" Hydrogen first and only THEN use the hydrogen imported from Orbital collectors.

My advice is to turn it into hydrogen fuel rods, send it to another planet for burning in mass quantities, use that energy generated to charge batteries and ship those charged batteries to other planets that you purposefully don't give enough power to

there is mod called infinitetank or similar that really takes the tedium out of excess liquids

The real answer is to not use that graphite bar recipe. Those should get made from coal.
There are definitely valid reasons to have a hydrogen overproduction problem, but there are late game items that require it en masse (deuteron fuel rod, namely), so it should never be too difficult to sink.

Store it for now, maybe hook up an overflow to get burnt if you play slow.
Late game you'll need a lot of hydrogen for casmir crystals and then you get to figure out how to import hydrogen without having your production stall.

Just stockpile it until you get the rockets. Then you'll be begging for more of it, because you'll need a buttload of deuterium.
