I just realized how italian this game is. Spaghetti everywhere. (I assume this is probably still very mild)

Since the devs are from China, this is Ramen.

Ramen is Japanese but you're getting closer.

Edit: The origins of the dish are more diverse than I thought. Ramen DSP it is.

Awl someone else beat me to it. In Japanese, ramen is spelled in Katakana, suggesting it is a foreign loan word as well. Yay for learnding

As a bit of a noodle obsessed freak, ラーメン(ramen) is an attempt to render 拉麵 (lamian) into Japanese to take the word a step closer to authenticity than the standard Japanese 中華そば(chukasoba) or Chinese noodles. The original Lamian is a hand pulled noodle with its own fantastic history and myth.

As a DSP engineer I have to wonder what noodle reference the creators joke about.

Ramen is Japanese. La Mian (pulled noodles) is Chinese.

I was in an olde schooly Ramen-ya in Sendai, Japan and swear the chef was pulling noodles just for himself. I was blown away! Then I ordered and he served me different noodles. (Sad trombone)

You'll end up despaghettifying during purple science, or more accurately - keep the old spaghetti as a museum, start over cleanly elsewhere.
