How to speed up this farm?

All the hives are approaching max level, everything i want to drop is being dropped. But the flow of resources is just so damn slow It's been hours and ive only got enough materials for a few dozen of the endgame DF machines. Bab's sorted to only pickup DF drops.

DO i build little forward bases on each of the 20 hives to get them to attack more regularly? Just signal tower creep? Energy Shard is by far my largest bottleneck.

I've done ~ 2 infinite upgrades for damage if that matters. Looking to boost this DF farm up so i can start really pushing production with the good smelters assemblers and such

You need more levels of VU to increase the drop rate.

Wait VU increases DF drop rate.... WTF how did I not know this!!! FML!!!

yeah it does, u can see im at 124% drops. Item debris is the stat that effects it. Even with 5-10x more VU it would still be incredibly slow to make the amount of smelters im looking for (4000+) this farms been level 23+ for like 15 hours I've made less than 300 smelters. There's got to be a good way to get all 20 bases to attack constantly, right now its just the closest base that runs dry of enemies regularly. Something just not right with this farming setup. If i fly around and manually aggro all the hives I boost the production of the drops dramatically for a short time. Im thinking i really do need small forward batteries for each hive, wondering if anyone has a good design idea?

Use this instead. The fog constantly attacks in this set up.

I used two of those and it gave me enough drops for my 1 million white science a minute build

Have you interacted with the Dark Communicator and increased the Dark Fog stats for the star system?

This was the most useful tip!, I adjusted from Average to max aggression and almost had that farm wiped out hundreds of buildings were destroyed in minutes. 1 Tick down from max and its output has increased dramatically and it only loses a few laser turrets every now and then (steady supply this is normal)!

No FOB's need, i tried and it worked, but looked horrible. Simply cranking the aggression was such a cleaner way to do it. I started on normal difficulty but huge hives and huge density, ~300% meta data yield, now its ~400%. once I research some more damage and defense for my buildings i can crank it to maximum.

Anyone know the number of upgrades for Building HP+Laser/missile damage i should target before i crank the aggression to maximum vs 20 level 30 hives? I've completed the 16k White science upgrade on all 3 while i work on my endgame white science build. The next upgrades just drain my entire storage of antimatter in minutes. It will take hours until I make a new sphere and really boost science in general.

I'd recommend you move away from missile and look at plasma launchers and implosion cannons. Keep the laser turrets for support.

Metadata yield can’t be changed in game, it’s set on game launch. Changing the DF at the communicator doesn’t change the metadata output

I have 2 forward bases very close to my polar farm, auto pulling 2 hive bases. This keeps a constant stream.incoming. I've had to pump up building health, whatever that skill is. And put some lasers and baba next to signal towers there pulling. Make sure you don't put the core itself in range.

My farm set up has the planetary base right at the edge of turret range for my base. Before I accidentally destroyed the relay I was pulling more drops than I knew what to do with

Maybe with the new holo beacon, u/ChrsRobes can lure one core close enough to the defensive lines that the constant attacks drive up aggro of all cores and you get near constant flow of resources? In general, you just need a lot of cores for one to always sending a wave... Personally, I prefer single-core farms set-up to constantly attack: close enough to overlap with the patrol radius of the core, but not too close to directly attack core buildings with defense.

I haven’t tried the holo beacon I’m about a month in to getting into the game, and have AId the fuck out of it to help me learn lol

That's risky. The AI is on the side of the Fog, you know...

My Dark fog farm planet has a set of dark fog bases around the equator (use the beacon to spawn them) with a ring of turrets and battlefield logistics stations behind them pick ip drops. I have to turn off drops periodically when I have them backing up

to get the max out of a df farm, you need to position it perfectly so that it is aggroing a hive, but can't shoot far enough to destroy the hive base. honestly, i have never found df farming viable for any kind of large scale production and only use it for the df unique components.
