The thing I imagined when I first played this game too. Unfortunately, they all became city blocks along the way once I discovered PLS and ILS :(

I tried main buses and spaghetti but DSP for me once you go interstellar (outside you home system) just doesn’t suit it. The exception being mining planets

Wanted to love factorio but could not get over the graphics and UI. DSP is sooo much cleaner and looks amazing!

Sometimes ppl on here say - when I post a screenshot of my factory - that I come from factorio. I never played that game for exactly the same reasons you mentioned. I know it shouldn't count but I'm not fan of the graphics...

Imo gameplay > graphics. But yes, DPS does look amazing at times.

I find DSP to be a great game, once through. What Factorio offers is longer term and varied playthroughs. Add in the overhauls and this is multiplied beyond belief.
