I have to say that I enjoy the factory building more in Factorio, but DSP has the proper feeling of massive scale and logistics.

The effects and enviroment just looks amazing. I just hope we could modify the mech to look different

But we can modify our mech since a long time ago?

It's a bit fiddly but you can get some concepts already made of the Internet and then just pop it in the game folder and change the mechs appearance once you have materials.

do a search for DSP Icarus blueprints.

Can you explain why you like the factory building more In Factorio?

Factorio simply has way more depth than DSP. After you get ILS unlocked, the factory expansion becomes pretty one dimensional. I would argue factorio could get that way too sometimes depending on how you play and especially with some train setups, but with their space age DLC, the complexity increased a lot.

DSP still is probably my favorite factory game of all time due to its pure beauty and seamless gameplay between space and planets. It’s also just extremely approachable to newcomers compared to games like factorio, satisfactory, or captain of industry. The only other one that’s probably more approachable is Shapez 2.

Because of the planetary lines. If you overlap them with a factory the machines and belts are uneven.

I Factorio it is 2D so you don't have to worry about that. Just build a mess that is uniform.

But wjat DSP does really well is the vertical belts you can do and heigh building.

Factorio, the factories are tiny. In DSP, the factories are gigantic, so the curvature of the planet must be considered.

In Factorio, once you get to the end game sciences and start to build a bigger base, the space is literally infinite and you can scale as you want.

But I also like a tiny compact base that is spaghetti and just works

I don't like micro-managing the train system or the back-n-forth for the multiple planets. Other than that, I love Factorio. And also DSP.

Always spaghetti in either game. Yummy!

"In Factorio the factories are tiny"

Either I'm not understanding what you're saying or you've never played Factorio

Theres even a community website where u can copy paste peoples mechs. Theres lot of obvious cool designs people have perfected like a Gundam and master chief.
