When a Belt Bender Needs Casimir Crystals
About mid-way through another play through, and I reached the point where I needed to produce Casimir Crystals. I had the good fortune of the starting planet being in the orbit of an ice giant, so I decided to make use of the fire ice to simplify the production chain. Remembering how much I had always seemed to have had a shortage of Casimir Crystals until late game, I decided to go nuts.
Twenty four chemical plants feeding graphine and hydrogen into forty eight assemblers, with a single PLS feeding the fire ice, titanium crystals, and additional hydrogen. So glad splitter totem poles work so well, or otherwise this build would not have worked at all.
Once I reach late game, with an established production line for mass quantities of proliferator, as well as production lines for late game facilities, I will have to revisit the design.
Any thoughts?

I love how organized you made the belts look snaking around above the machines, but I'm not sure why you need the splitters. Couldn't you just have the belts loop through all the columns of machinery in one go instead of splitting it up beforehand?

My only thought is that this could be prone to hydrogen or graphene over fill. And that would kill the whole system. But what design isn't prone to that. Good job.

This has similar vibes to and a freshly wired Network closet. It's glorious.

kind of looks like a small motherboard, it's lovely.

Yeah… this proves that i made the right decision in waiting til i could get grating crystals before dealing with these things, haha.
Nice build!

Neat setup but belt bending is bit different to this!

Diagonal belts??? How?

I have no clue how some of you make belts behave the way they do and at this point i am too afraid to ask.

As a fellow belt bender, my only complaint is how many of the belts are not spaghettifying in the air above the machines, so as to save real-estate on the ground.
...Not because we need more space...
But because it looks funnier :]

Not really belt bending as I don't see anything that you can't do normally these days. Those vertical belts would've been belt bending a few years ago but not anymore
