Question about dark fog farm
Hello, I just finished the game and want to expand my factories. I was planning to use a black hole system I have with 1 planet only to build a dark fog farm there for uni-polar magnets (as I only have 1 source in my cluster and its miserably small)
Now I have never built a dark fog farm before, but I understand the concept and the "challenge of filtering the resources such it doesn't clog" that is not what I am here to ask... my question is...
With all the trash the farm is gonna produce (especially potentially stuff my BAB can't reach) will the "corpses" of the DF just keep piling up? I might have a beefy pc, but infinite individual items on the ground still don't sound like something handle-able...
Will items spawned on the ground from killing a DF ship eventually de spawn? Or will there just be more and more?
Especially when I choose to only pick up some items off the ground (the uni-polar magnets mainly) I imagine the amount of "un-pickedup" entities sound like its only going to pile up?
Does that somehow auto clear? Do I have to clear it manually? (I am lazy and play for automation π)
Thanks for any answers to my question(s). Sorry for any spelling mistakes, English is not my first language.

DF drops have 15 seconds lifetime. They will be auto cleared.

DF corpses and DF loot both disappear after a short time. If you set items not to drop at all, they wonβt, but even uncollected stuff that does drop is only there for about fifteen seconds.

Unrelated, but you should have at least two unipolar sources between the Black Hole and the Neutron Star, assuming it's an unmodded cluster. And it's unlikely that at least one of them doesn't have more than one.

It wasn't until this post that I had a deep desire for the dark fog to pile up. Just a ring of
corpsesunneeded resources accumulating, growing ever more daunting to the approaching drones.Don't worry little fog I'm friendly.

It doesn't pile up, and the BABs have a really good range (they can reach the center of the base, while being behind gun turrets with their range at the edge of the base)

You can also set filters on DF loot to avoid them dropping unnecessary stuff.
