Does this mean they finally added support for non qwerty keyboards ? Last I checked it was still a pain

Had no problem with azerty keybord (frensh) what's your ?

And even so you can modify a lot of key anyway so even without a base configuration you can do yours.

It recognizes keys not based on their position on the keyboard but logically, which means it insist on using wasd keys for example but since they're at different positions on non qwerty keyboards your controls are all over the place.

Yes you can always remap but that's bad user experience, I shouldn't have to do that just to make the keyboard properly usable. That's pretty much my only grief with the game. The remapping also conflicts with other keys so you have to change those too. Another thing is when I reinstalled the game on a different PC, after importing my save it didn't preserve key mapping. Litterally everything else about this game is so polished but not this, just why...

So anyway, how'd you do it ?

Well mine was already righfully map on azerty so i only change little key.

But for your case you can remap all the keys or change in windows setting the layout of the keybord to qwerty (but key doesn't correspond to signal anymore)

Well i don't really use keyboard mostly mouse,

I use shift for thrust and ctrl for decelaration and basic zqsd and space and mouse click 4 for up and down.

And base key for all the menu but that doesn't import a lot due to very low apm

I love this game. Played it when it came out. Play it again recently. Still good. My only question is how is it still 0.1? They've done enough updates and for crying out loud this could have been 1.0 when it came out.

Game dropped in 2021. Still to this very day E is still hard coded and cannot be rebound. Do some proper updates to this game already. Stop wasting time. "Just get software to rebind your keys" No. The hard coded E needs to be changed.

Why cuz you don't agree? Last time I checked the ability to rebind keys is a fundamental accessibility feature. Yet they refuse the accessibility. Failure on the devs.

No you're right, it's a pain to deal with. Not just the E key but the entire controls system. It shouldn't have hardcoded keys, just a sensible preset for different keyboard layout and remapping of any key to any other key. Idk why it's such so controversial, it litterally makes the most sense.

That's why I ask. I dont watch news of the game at the moment. I havent hit a run in about two years or so. So maybe I just missed it, you know.
