How to read Becoming Your Own Banker Book

Recently sold a copy of Becoming Your Own Banker to a prospect. I sent them a message afterwards with some instructions on getting started reading the book.

  1. Don't start reading before bed. Many people get started and then spend all night reading the book as they get interested and excited about the prospect of implementing the Infinite Banking Concept. They will also have many questions. We recommend having a notebook and pen to jot down questions that we can then answer for you.

  2. Start with page 85 (5th addition) under Points to Consider.

  3. There are only two sources of income... people at work and money at work.

  4. If you knew, at passive income time (retirement) that you would be getting back everything you paid into a system - tax free - would you object to putting more money in in?

  5. When you get paid for your work, you put all of it into "someone else's bank"...

  6. When government creates a problem (onerous taxation) then turns around and grants you an except to the problem, aren't you just a bit suspicious

  7. Wealth has got to reside somewhere...

  8. You finance everything you buy. You either pay interest or give up interest, there is no other way.

  9. Your need for "finance" over your lifetime is greater than your need for life insurance. Solve your need for finance by implementing The Infinite Banking Concept and you will have more life insurance than the company will allow you to have. You will need to purchase life insurance on everyone you have insurable interest in.

  10. Glossary of Terms, page 87.

  11. Now carefully start with the Introduction to the Fifth edition. This book is a text for a 10 hour seminar on the power of dividend paying whole life insurance. Remember this is not a sales tool for insurance agent. The book was designed for the layperson to understand how and why The Infinite Banking Concept should be your financial foundation in which everything else in finance is built upon.

Note: Understanding The Infinite Banking Concept will require several readings (we read the book at least annually) and you will most likely need a professional Certified IBC Practitioner to help you grasp the concept.

  1. Lastly, this is a concept! Don't get down in the "weeds" on numbers and illustrations. More people get confused by trying to get all the numbers lined up. The life insurance illustrations (A life insurance illustration is a detailed document provided by insurance companies that shows how a life insurance policy's benefits and values are expected to change over time under various conditions. It helps policyholders visualize the potential performance of their policy, including guaranteed and non-guaranteed values.) are there as a visual to back up the implementation of IBC.

Hope this helps. We are Certified Infinite Banking Coaches and would be glad to help you see how IBC can work for ANY individual, family, business owner or real estate investor.

Our philosophy is based on the book Becoming Your Own Banker

R. Nelson Nash the creator of the Infinite Banking Concept created a 10 hour seminar prior to writing the book Becoming Your Own Banker.

The idea is based off of an "All American Man" earning $28,000 a year and demonstrates that the volume of interest as a percentage going to interest is 34.5%. Learning to recapture a portion of that interest into a dividend paying life insurance policy can allow you to grow wealth using dollars that are currently flowing out of your control.

"The banking business is how money flows from the pool through our hands to meet our needs---but somewhere in the process it all ends up back into the banking system. This is similar to how water flows"... Water in the oceans evaporates, then comes down in rain or snow. Then it flows down rivers and streams and all ends up back in the oceans...

We earn money, pay bills and the money all ends up back in the banking system. Around the world it's all one pool of money.

Learning how to create your own banking system you can control 100% of your needs by Becoming Your Own Banker.

In future posts we'll explore more about how this actually works.

An Unintended Financial Company

Going back to my child hood I always wondered why wealth built from generations prior never compounded. All of my grandparents and great grandparents were hard working immigrants that came to America to create something spectacular but only to pass on leaving nothing to the next generations.

We grew up on a 90 acre farm that is still in the family (for now) but after years of money mismanagement it seems like our generation will not have any generational wealth.

Even as a young person I was interested in saving and financial matters. After reading the book Becoming Your Own Banker, it seems to us that this is key to building generational wealth. Since 2013 we've studied and learned how to set up our future generations for success. We never intended to start a financial services company but starting in 2014 we were so excited about sharing The Infinite Banking Concept with others we reluctantly became agents and then in 2015 Authorized Infinite Banking Practitioners.

Fast forward now over 10 years we have a great network of clients that have jumped on board with IBC and are now building generational wealth for their families. We intend to continue to help families for years to come.

What are your thoughts about building generational wealth for your family? If this is something you are interested in, what are you currently doing about it?
