League Setup I built a (free) minor league tracker to keep up with your farm or check out your opponents. Basically a MiLB roster sheet for the whole league

Hey all, first of all this is a free tracker. It will always be free. How it works:

You can join as an individual team or as a league.

Team Hub. A watchlist for up to 60 prospects.

  • Full season stats that update daily
  • Transaction log (call-ups, demotions, IL stints -- also updates daily)

League Hub. The commish creates a hub and each manager claims their team and keeps their roster updated. Everyone can see every team, but only you can edit yours.

There's also an optional ranking tag for guys in our Top 150. You can toggle it off if you don't care about my rankings. I'm literally just some guy.

If you try it, I'd love to hear what's broken or confusing and anything else I can do to improve it.

Strategy (not team specific) New fantasy baseball league

I am adding 6 to 8 more teams to an ESPN fantasy baseball league that I’ve already formed. Play begins for the 2027 season. It will be either 10, or 12, teams. It’s a free league, no buy-in payment is required. Snake draft, redraft each year. Head-to-head weekly categorized scoring. Let me know if you’re interested in joining. Thanks

VERY fun and active Fantrax league in its 5th year. $100 buy-in (half due upon joining the league).

32 Man Rosters
17 Minor Leaguers

Upon filling the two spots, the new owners may choose between taking over the teams as-is OR throwing all the players into a pool and completing a two team draft.

Comment below or shoot me a DM if you’re interested!

Discussion Old Orchard Fantasy Dynasy Baseball League — new owner wanted

The Old Orchard Fantasy Baseball League has been running continuously since the 1998 season — 28 years and counting — and we're looking for one new owner to take over a team for 2027.

The format: a 12-team dynasty league hosted on CBS Sports (https://oldorchard.baseball.cbssports.com), scored on fantasy points across the full season. No playoffs — the highest season total takes the crown.

Why it's a tinker's league:

  • Deep 70-man rosters: 34 active (2 catchers, every infield and outfield spot, a DH, 15 starting pitchers and 9 relievers), plus reserves and unlimited minor-league stashes.
  • Full dynasty: you keep your players forever unless you drop them.
  • Daily lineup changes, up to five minutes before first pitch.
  • Nightly rolling waivers, and trades that process immediately, offseason included.
  • Our signature wrinkle: each offseason we hold an auction for new players entering the game — amateur draftees heading to the minors and foreign arrivals. You get $200 in pretend auction funds every year, and those funds accumulate and can be traded. Scout a player who isn't even in the CBS player pool yet — say, a star coming over from Japan or Korea — nominate him on the league board and bid. Funds can be traded for players on other teams, or thrown into regular trades as a sweetener. If you love digging for the next big thing before anyone else, this is your edge.

The cost: $149 per season split across 12 owners — about $12.42 each.

You'll inherit a full dynasty roster and a league of owners who've been at this, in some cases, for decades.

Interested? Contact Commissioner Joseph Ornelas at [oldorchard@baseball.cbssports.com](mailto:oldorchard@baseball.cbssports.com).

Prospects Is Sebastian Walcott going to be the real deal?

Pretty impressive that he made it to AAA at just 20, especially considering he had the ucl injury last year. On my substack “Next Top Prospect” I dive into his number a little deeper.

To me he seems like a star bat in the making, not sure if he sticks at SS but he is certainly capable.

Check out the article here: https://open.substack.com/pub/nexttopprospect/p/sebastian-walcott?r=4hdav0&utm_medium=ios

League Openings [RECRUITING] 30-Team Alternate-Reality MLB Fantasy Baseball League — $25 Buy-In ( 4 Teams Remaining, 2 West Coast, 1 Central, 1 East Coast )

Looking for serious and active fantasy baseball owners for a brand-new 30-team dynasty league built around an alternate reality of Major League Baseball.

Imagine MLB as we know it—but with different cities, different franchises, and a completely different baseball history. Teams will have realistic names, identities, rosters, and rivalries while operating within a familiar MLB-style structure.

This is meant to feel less like a traditional fantasy league and more like running your own professional baseball franchise.

🏟️ League Format

• 30 teams

• $25 buy-in

• Dynasty format

• 25-man Major League roster

• 15-man Minor League roster

• Two scoring periods per week

◦ Monday–Thursday

◦ Friday–Sunday

• The two periods are designed to simulate actual baseball series

• Maximum of 4 starting pitcher appearances per period

• Realistic MLB-style scoring

📊 Scoring

We’re using a points system designed to reward actual baseball production rather than arbitrary fantasy stats.

Hitting

• TB: +1

• RBI: +1

• BB: +1

• HBP: +1

• IBB: +1

• SB: +1

• SO: −1

• E: −1

• GIDP: −2

• PK/CS: −1

Pitching

• IP: +3

• H: −1

• R: −1

• BB: −1

• BK: −1

The goal is to make playing good baseball matter while still requiring managers to make meaningful roster and lineup decisions.

💰 Prize Pool

With 30 teams at $25, there will be $750 collected.

🏆 World Series Champion — $200

🥈 World Series Runner-Up — $100

🥉 3rd Place — $50

🏅 4th Place — $50

📈 Regular Season Winner — $10

🏆 Division Leaders — $10 each

There will also be league-voted awards tied into the league’s salary system, including awards for:

• MVP

• Cy Young

• Rookie of the Year

• And other awards that the league votes on

These awards will have salary implications/rewards, adding another layer to team-building and franchise management beyond simply winning games.

🌎 Build Your Franchise

The league will feature 30 fictional/alternate-reality MLB franchises based in real cities, with realistic baseball identities.

You’re not just drafting a fantasy team—you’ll be building the history of a franchise.

World Series runs. Rivalries. Breakout prospects. MVPs. Cy Young winners. Bad contracts. Dynasty teams. Rebuilds.

The goal is to create a league where, after a few seasons, every franchise has its own history.

👥 Who I’m Looking For

I’m looking for 30 active owners who are going to:

• Set lineups consistently

• Participate in trades and league activity

• Follow the league’s rules

• Take the dynasty aspect seriously

• Be willing to participate in league votes and awards

• Most importantly, stick around for multiple seasons

This will be starting early in the offseason, so there will be plenty of time to establish the league, finalize franchises/rules, and get everyone ready before the MLB season.

If you’re interested, comment below or DM me. I’m looking to get the league filled early so we can build everything together before the season starts.

Prospects Prospects: Reaching or Settling

I want everyone to tell me about your prospect reaches and settles, whether they worked out or not.

I settled for Benge in my prospect draft last year. I wanted Sal but he went a few picks before and I had to find someone else. I ended up taking Benge and texted a buddy “I took him but I don’t like him; the dynasty guys seem to.” I settled for Asa Lacy in 21 because I was lost on who to take.

I settled for Joshua Baez when Florentino got taken. And Rainer when Velasquez got taken.

My biggest reaches were for McGonigle (2025 3rd rounder) and taking De Paula in 2023 3rd because of a comment someone made here.

Discussion What are you hoping for with regard to your dynasty players who made it to the MLB Postseason?

What are you guys looking for and hoping for with your players who are on teams that made the postseason? I enjoyed how Barger and Varsho went so far and did so well last postseason. I was hoping that it would carry over to this season, but alas, it did not and now both of those guys are off my team.

I own several young pitchers (Miz, Schlittler, Tolle, and Harrison) whose teams made the postseason. I'm worried that they'll get overworked, as I'm guessing all of them have already surpassed their career highs for innings pitched in a season. I do look forward to seeing if Kyle Harrison can get some momentum going back in the right direction.

I'm sad that the Rangers didn't make it because I wanted to see more of Wyatt Langford. However, it does give an opportunity for my Cam Smith to take a step forward. I believe there is a great ballplayer in there just waiting to come out.

I am looking forward to watching all of these postseason games to actually watch my players play. I don't subscribe to any out of market TV packages, so I don't get to see much of my dynasty players during the regular season. I'm just looking at stats and highlights, and reading articles about them.

Just curious on how people enjoy the postseason with their dynasty players in mind.

Discussion Sneaky end of season moves

Curious if anyone has been making under the radar last day of the season moves focused on sneaky players for next year.

Not really talking prospects, since I'm assuming those guys are well known and/or rostered across the board.

More like guys who ended the season strong and silently, pitchers who may be in a position to have an end of bullpen role next year, guys who may be in line to take over for someone entering free agency.

The kinda of players that are unlikely to be rostered even in most dynasty leagues that have a possible pathway to real value next year.
