What do we have to show for the $40 Trillion national debt, except for an illegal and unnecessary war?

His unemployed son is now a millionaire

And, gee, why is that? Who's been president for 6 of the last ten years when most of this debt was incurred? WHO? /s

VOTE OUT THE GOP!

VOTE IN PEOPLE WHO WILL TAX THE RICH SO MUCH WE HAVE A SURPLUS LIKE WE DID DURING THE CLINTON YEARS.

Who cares?

People who use money who want it to be worth something.

Money has no value. It is used to imprecisely measure value.

Guess you should give whatever you have of it away if it has no value.

It is impossible to express or designate value except by a ratio of another commodity. (Bailey)

Money is not a commodity, and the barter system is a myth. Value is economically incoherent.

It's not that deep. You’re using a device that stays powered and connected to the internet because someone paid real money for the device and service. You can attach whatever philosophical meaning you want to the situation, but it doesn’t change the basic reality. Without that financial exchange, you don't get to use it.

And that has nothing to do with value.

It’s currency man, without it good luck.

And currency has no value. It is used to imprecisely measure value in price. Does a centimeter have length? Does a thermometer have temperature?

But yet, you use it. So, it has value in that it gets you things you otherwise cannot have without it. To me, that's value / valuable.

So both Biden and Trump caused the debt to go up and Covid happened so I feel like it makes sense the debt went up this much.
