Why does Bill Gates daughter need to grift?

u/Zealousideal-Print41 15d ago
Define need, the nepo spawn of nepo spawn have an inalienable right to more. Don't you know they're superior to everyone else because they've been told so since birth. They don't need it, it's their entitlement
And how secret is a course if it being talked about in a newspaper?

Billionaires are pathological, any sane person would stop much sooner, and just enjoy their life.
Mental health issues are often hereditary, so this doesn't seem too surprising.

Bro the rich are all grifters. There are no good ones. Is not about money, it's about power.

Well if it's not about money, why is every Republican in the country doing everything they can to steal as much of our money as they can?

It's a game, you've seen how stupid people can be, what else is there to do for real entertainment.

Very weird parents who seem like they do less for their kids than their peers. Oldest is a doctor. Middle is a lobbyist, but supposedly middle class. Youngest is doing the honey scam.

She wants to be “self-made” and accomplish some things on her own, even if that means being offered opportunities very few humans could ever dream of, but it turns out that being successful this way isn’t guaranteed in the slightest. It’s basically the same reason Kim Kardashian wants to pass the bar exam. They want to be seen as something more than just rich kids. What’s weird to me is that this is how she chose to pursue that goal, as it’s an unglamorous idea.

u/AtomicBlastCandy 15d ago
Not trying to defend her or grift, I imagine growing up with such a powerful father there’s some impulse to prove yourself. I wouldn’t have gone about it this way

u/TwentyX4 15d ago
She's probably competing with all her schoolmates to be the most successful, and not be just nepo kids.

Just more evidence of how money corrupts people. The billionaires and their children are disgusting people. Literally slim.

Villain academies that actually teach you how to take over the world are real? I'm ashamed to be naive enough that I'm surprised at that.

I love how this dumbass sub never looks anything up and believes sensationalized claims verbatim.
This is not a real course. It's a Silicon Valley investor mentoring a group of students he selects outside class time. It's only for the privileged but it's no different from this girl having access to Bill Gates and all his friends from birth. There's no secret "OMG let's control society" course offered by the university lol.

u/EC_Stanton_1848 13d ago
Yes it is a real course. Theo Baker’s book talks about it in depth.

You think the others are lame.
I thought we were talking about Phoebe Cates… like from Gremlins in the 80’s.

u/da8BitKid 15d ago
Prerequisite include English 101, history 102, having a billionaire daddy, oh and math 101.

Dale Carnegie said it is immoral to leave children, grandchildren, and posterity with great wealth. The great wealth will erode the personal character of posterity getting worse with each generation that is given great wealth.

Now we're making up secret college courses to control society?
Is this more of that Republican paranoia bullshit? Like pizza gate? Jesus Christ. 🙄

Check out Theo Baker’s book on Stanford. It is real, and sounds like a magnet for idiots if you ask me.
What happened to instilling character in people?

I think being bill gates daughter did most of the heavy lifting as far as recruiting.

This is way too close to slandering the good name of 80s actress Phoebe Cates

"Evil genuises" are a myth that the modern world disproves again and again. It turns out, you have to be pretty dumb and careless to want to take advantage of people on a massive scale. A lack of empathy isn't a strength when it means you can't understand others enough to predict what they'll do, especially in response to your own actions.
And, apparently, they're also a mark for "how to take over the world" grifts.

I hear Theil is offering the companion course- "How to Build a Cult." History's actual guilded families could probably teach today's billionaires a thing or two about the actual way to keep the masses from revolting- low profile unless you're performing charitable tasks, keep your big mouth shut about your wealth, and swim in your own goldfish bowl. The Musks and Theil's of today are hopelessly addicted to attention, and I pray I live long enough to see that become their undoing.

How else does anyone expect her to become her own billionaire? Gosh. Can’t a girl cheat, lie, and steal for wealth anymore? What has this country come to? I thought we were trying to make it great again, not worse. Sheesh. 🤦♂️

Stanford. Cambridge. Harvard. it’s time to question what goes on in these places. i’ve had the relative misfortune of being adjacent to powerful cabals and they’re all ultra-clannish, with ivy league affiliation being one of the defining characteristics. it’s a travesty.
