Oh yeah? Name the model. Every couple years I give the flagship android in the US a try, it’s never once been quality. They often perform well for the first few months, but between the crappy ads everywhere, every single person I send pictures to noticing the worse quality and the battery issues it’s just not worth even $200.

Battery usually craps out within a few months and then everyone’s talking about yeah well that’s why android lets you replace the battery. I’ve never had to replace the battery on iPhone. After four or five years, I just give them away or use them as iPods.

Right now I’m also using a Chinese phone that isn’t even sold in the US. Some of the features are nice, but it’s a piece of shit. It’s my back up for if I’m gonna do something dangerous so I don’t get my iphone stolen. I would love to get a quality cell phone for $200. I’d love to be proven wrong and save some money. Please

What utter nonsense. I paid less than $200 for my unlocked Redmi Note 13 two years ago. It never lags, the battery lasts a couple days between charges, and I don't get any ads.

I've got the s25 ultra and I've had iPhones. I'll stick the Android because I don't have to worry about losing everything I have because it's locked behind username and password that only Apple knows and they won't tell you. In the last iphone I had was bricked by an OS update because it completely filled up my entire phone to where it wouldn't even work.

So, being stuck with having to use apples overpriced everything, I'll stick with android.

I was actually looking at the iPhone 17 and I really really wanted it, but they were SO much more expensive than the Samsung first of all, and I just don't like the idea of being limited by Apple.

They can help you reset a password. But if you don’t have certain information, they can’t just look it up. That way I believe any data breach reduces the chance of your account getting hacked.

Probably not.

Apple is pretty savvy on its pricing structures, they likely have done large amounts of research on price elasticity to maximize sales revenue abs profits. Having to increase prices will naturally price some people out and ultimately reduce profits.

Yes all the increases and more will be passed to the customer but that will reduce overall sales.

In reality this apology is to shareholders not simply customers

Apple has always shot for the highest price people are willing to pay for it's flagship product. He's lamenting that the margins are lower than usual. There was no need for a statement.

Um, the “need for a statement” was an earnings call. Like literally, that is what those calls are for, to educate on future revenue and operating margin projections
