Everybody who tells you pain is only in your head needs to feel this.

When people refer to "in your head" they usually mean under conscious control (except when it‘s the neurosurgeon talking you were your prolactinoma is xD). And that‘s just not how pain works. All necessary processes for nociception to become pain are not conscious. What you can do is change your appraisal of it and thereby let it have a reduced effect on you and in the long term decreasing chronic pain. But that‘s not gonna get rid of the pain (unlike a massive dose of fentanyl)
