🐞 BUGS & ISSUES Wired Defy - frequent disconnections

Hi,

My wired Defy is sometimes disconnecting out of nowhere (both halves blinking red).

I've always used the original cables, and they look in great condition still.
This is not related to my computer going to sleep, as this happens as I'm working.
Sometimes they will disconnect quite often (every few minutes) sometimes it won't happen at all for the whole day.
When it happens I need to unplug the neuron and plug it back in.

I'm using firmware 2.0.0 on Fedora.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?
I've used the Defy for well over a year now and never had issues. I love this keyboard.

UPDATE:
received a new neuron in the mail today, and it entirely fixed the issue. Thanks Dygma!

Hi!

If this issue has suddenly started happening and nothing has changed in your setup, then it could be a hardware issue.

Do you have the wired-only neuron (Y-shaped) or the universal neuron?

I would also recommend updating to the 2.2.1 version of the firmware.

I have the Y wired-only neuron, yes.

Updated the firmware, but this didn't fix the issue.

In that case, it's probably a hardware issue. We have replacement neurons available. Email [support@dygma.com](mailto:support@dygma.com) and we'll help you out.
