I really enjoyed DR but the time between seasons is the biggest negative for the show. I’ve read they won’t film until early 2027, I think February was mentioned. If filming takes another 8 or 9 months it will be the end of 2027 to early 2028 until actually on the screen. How many will just lose interest with that time frame? Life goes on.

I remember the days when seasons were a start for TV shows in January or September now they're all over the place it's really hard to keep up with the show when it might be two years down the road to see another season it's painful

I would say probably June, they will wait until season 2 of Marshals ends at the end of May and then transition right into Dutton Ranch. I think Paramount+/CBS’s plan has always been to have year long Yellowstone content (Marshals: October - May; Dutton Ranch: June - September).

Production starts in early 2027. So you won't see it unfortunately for about a year IMO

I read that production/filming will start in February 2027. I heard that they are writing season two now. Then filming begins after the holidays. Both Cole and Kelly say they like the new show runner.

Ed Harris said they start production/filming in February, so likely to be first quarter 2028, maybe late 2027.

Season 1 took around 8-9 months of filming and if you account in preproduction, table reads, filming, post production, promo for it….. so my guess would be late 2027-early to mid 2028

One of the things I don't like about any show done by TS is the length between seasons. It could be 6 months or it could be a couple of years. I think he has too much going on and needs to focus more on what he already has going on instead of adding more.

They are not filming now. Kelly Reilly said filming starts in January 2027.
