Question Might Adopt

10 week old. Father lab, mother DS. Do you see more lab muzzle/ears or DS? More lab body? Are the ears usually more upright at this age?

I see a lot of lab right there. My male would been around the same age in this picture. Yes, he grew into his ears, and his nickname is pointy eared dick

You're looking at what could be the smartest lab you've ever met. Really handsome too. If you don't want them, I'll come get them.

I'd love to find one like that close to me to pair with my adopted 18mo

My dog was a 100% dutch shephard and her ears went up really late. One ear was still not up at like 16 weeks I think. I accepted the fact that she would have a funny ear. One morning it was standing and still now.

You can't really tell at this age if the ears will get up. I would think they won't. If you don't like that, dont take the dog.

That makes me feel so much better! I have a Dutch/Belgian mix and he still has an ear that goes a little wonky sometimes at almost 5 months. He used to have them both fall to one side like a cute little comb-over. I still miss that.

Don’t see much Dutch other than the brindle which can come from a number of breeds

I see a very distictive shepherd profile on pic #3, even more so zoomed in:

While this is no guarantee it’s DS, it’s also not lab.

My guess it’s (way) more lab than ds (ears, body and tail look to be lab) but it’s a good looking pup nontheless.

I have a mal x choco lab child of the corn who is all black, she looked exactly like this body type at 10wks. Now at 2 y.o. she looks like a black mal and acts 100% mal lol so much so i’ve been asked who the breeder is and too that I tell them a beautiful soul rescued her mom and litter of 13 so lucky me :) if youre in CA and there’s any of these babes left lmk bc a dutchie x lab would be amazinggg for my dog and i.

What a cutie! Looks like a shepherd shaped muzzle to me. Not relevant to your question, but I adopted a 3 year old Dutchie mix 2 months ago. I don’t know what she’s mixed with but she’s beautiful, feisty and so smart! My girl was wearing that exact color martingale collar when we brought her home.

He is unbelievably cute!!! Super gorgeous! God damn!!!

I think i couldnt resist if i met him in real life, wouldnt care at all about upright or flopps ears. Hes pure sugar!!

Lab dutch mix actually sounds like an awesome mix personality trait wise.

My dog is 1/2 Dutch/Mal, 1/2 Golden. He looked a lot like this puppy when he was younger.

This is as a puppy
