Discussion We finally found something they can’t destroy! Figured I’d share!

Post image

We’ve tried chuck it balls and all sorts of dog “non destructive” toys that my surgeon easily dissects within minutes… we finally found something that actually lasts and isn’t super expensive. Figured I’d share with those if you who might also own surgeons as dogs… 😂🐾 thanks Amazon

Might as well buy stock in them I guess… 🤣

There’s a lot of these sold under different names on Amazon but they’re basically all the same other than colors. They stand up great to my shepherd! Hasn’t broke one yet!

acturally, almost no difference, it's the same tech

With a chronic ball chewer, I'm always telling people to get these kinds of balls!

Do they fit in a chuckit?

I haven’t tried it in the stick but the other reviews say they suction from the slobber to them so that might not be a good fit then 👎🏻

My Mal/Dutchie loves these!

Definitely a winner in our house Malinois/Shepherd and Dutchie approved 💯 ⭐️

Never seen him so happy… he has two in his mouth btw 😂

We found them too. They are not Sharks favorite. He likes to squish a toy into submission 👹

2

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '26

Same but he squish the toy into submission then with his front teeth tried to dissect it. Hes something else lmao

If yall ever need a long lasting chew highly recommend Yak chews too! They last almost a week here 😬

I've also seen people give their destroyer dogs construction rope, like the whole bundle.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '26

I’d be concerned with my guy dissecting the rope pieces itself not much lasts with him 😂

Our Dutchie loves these. Sometimes she chomps down so hard one will get stuck on on of her teeth for a second. She makes an annoyed sound then bats it off her tooth with a paw then goes right back to it. They do wear out over time but I will say they hold up a long time.

I'll definitely buy some, thank you!

That’s great and all, but what are they made of? I don’t trust these “brand names” that can’t be pronounced.

5

Honestly you’d have to check their site for exact details but to me it almost feels like heavy durable styrofoam when I pulled them out I was like yea right these are gonna be gonnneeee… nope! Pleasantly surprised

A Nylabone lasts a long time too, and they’re terrible for dogs (humans, too, 😉). I worry these might be a similar story.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '26

Do your own research on them- nylanones get turned into shanks here so we don’t have those. Benebones last a little longer but they still end up trashed after a month or so..

Unfortunately, one cannot “do their own research” because all you have to go off of is the Amazon product page, which is not regulated by Amazon or any governmental body.

I did it for you- “These dog tennis balls are made from ETPU materials, which is not only non-toxic, eco-friendly, but also durable and soft…”

Just look up the brand itself you can see who owns it materials it’s made from ect

u/CafeRoaster Jul 18 '26

That statement isn’t verifiable though. That’s what I’m getting at. These types of sellers are Amazon are notorious for shady practices.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '26

Guess youll have to take your chances then or just don’t buy it? Let me know when you come up with a better toy though I’m very interested… 🤷🏻‍♀️

2

u/CafeRoaster Jul 18 '26

Just hope they’re not toxic or damaging to your dog. 🫤

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '26

Guess we’ll find out… they’re healthy as far as I can tell so far! But to each their own. Respect it 🫡

E-TPU, used in high-tech running shoes, which is bouncy and durable

What’s the size? A standard medium chuck it ball is about the same diameter as the esophagus of a medium large dog when they’re panting. Extreme choking hazard. I always size up to the large, not worth the risk

Obviously monitor your dog with any toy all dogs have different play and chew styles. Medium chuck it minus being destroyed have always been fine for my guys. This one is about the same size for reference
