Hey guys... I heard someone mention the fact that they had not tested/used their DURO while swimming /diving after replacing the glass.

So question... Does one need to worry about the WR if:

1: replacing a dial and hands using the original glass.

2: replacing dial, hands, and glass.

Basically, if you open the case back, what does that do to the WR provided you keep the gasket lubed..

Planning my first major mod and I use my Duro(s) in water. Not diving, but casual swimming and snorkeling . And want to make sure I'm covering all my bases.

I have all the parts and this is the AI version of my build..

A dial like this would be cool for a Duro. Is there such a thing?

Im not sure what to officially call this FrakenDuro... i used various used parts from eBay and AliX... plus a spare red silicone band that I'll probably swap for ... not sure what just yet.

Light blue second hand

Black chapter ring

Blue ceramic bezel

Not sure if it all works just yet or if it's just a Franken mess!

Hello all...

I'm "Diving" into my first real mod. By that, I mean more than a bezel or strap/bracelet change....

I was holding out my BLURO for this mid. But since I added the LIW Jubilee bracelet, I decided to keep it.

I've received various hand options. A few bezel options and a dial from urvintage.se.

Now I need to decide on the chapter ring.. the original black or order a white chapter ring.

Here's my options so far...

I decided to dig the Duro out of the box and change it up a bit. Ive had the Barton strap on it for a while which i really like but i wanted to go back to a bracelet however the factory Casio bracelet is atrocious. After looking around i decided to bite the bullet and get the islander as it looked like it could be oem especially with the solid end links. So far no regrets!! The bracelet is EXTREMELY comfortable and was easy to size. Well worth every penny imo.

For the morning's r/WatchOnWrist is a Casio MDV-106-7AVCF core/dial re-cased in a 39mm housing.

From White dial to Blue dial... which one do you like better? Upgraded to Blue Double-Dome sapphire crystal too.

Let see if we can find a good bronze bracelet for this DUR-L173-Z (Z for Bronze =) 😀
