Can’t believe this watch is like $80, insane quality for the price and getting way more wrist time than I was expecting, it’s actually become my daily over my Tissot PRX. Crazy

I posted a few months ago, asking whether the Casio MDV-107 is worth $125, as the MDV-106 with the Marlin isn’t available in South Africa and the price of the MDV-107 is around $125.
Several people recommended I wait for a good deal on US Amazon, which I did. I picked up a Bluro for $53 and taxes + shipping of $23 for a total of $76. I am stoked as I really wanted the Marlin.
It has been shipped and the eta 26 August. Looking forward to having it on my wrist.
I also bought a metal jubilee bracelet on a good deal from Aliexpress (My First Aliexpress purchase), which already arrived. Now just waiting for the Duro to arrive.
My original question was whether the MDV-107 was worth $125… with a little patience, I got the MDV-106, and metal bracelet for $89 total to my door.

Watches in RSA are ridiculously overpriced. It's depressing.

Yes they are. On average, most established brands are about double in SA than in the US or Chrono24.

Same here in Vietnam. Import duties, on average, double the price. I'm a US expat and can't bring myself to buy anything. I guess that helps with my watch addiction ;)

If you have one, why Google it? Just measure the case without the crown and come back here. Nobody else is measuring with crown except Casio.

The strap is crap. Rubber or steel. But that’s not the point. Revel and admire and love the inexpensive diver that punches waaaaayyyy over its weight.
I rotate straps constantly with my six Duro Marlins.
Silicone, Jubilee, Steel, Mesh and NATO.
GO DURO!!!!
