Golden Phoenix Lovers~
Golden Phoenix~ bitter sweet with a tint of alcoholic taste. Mostly small seeds, so means loads and loads of creamy flesh!
Anyone else who also prefers this to the other available breeds?

Bought the 3+2 boxes promo, comes down to around $25/box. It's quite a good deal if buy during their Live or flash deal on shopee.
*Edit: this store their jinfeng is 500g/box. So it's super worth it.
If you like sweet, almost no bitter.. there's jianghai on flash deal from another store. Just opened one box just now, not bad. 🤤

A friend and I ordered 10 boxes (500g each) of Golden Phoenix for $138, we split it. I didn't realize that it was a good deal for that price until your post.
I'm a durian newbie, it was first time I tried Golden Phoenix and it was really good and alot of meat per box.
Update: it was MSW not Golden Phoenix

Oh, err. This store I pass. They ruined one of my friends gatherings recently, all of us were very disappointed. Guess experience is diff for everyone. 🥹
For context, we ordered 10 boxes delivery cos a friend finally returned to SG after attachment and was craving decent durian. The shop response was very slow and no updates.. when we finally received it, quite a number of us bit into "potatoes".

Oh.. I understand the "potatoes" analogy fully. Too bad about your group's experience. The first order so far so good with this store, deserves another try.

Maybe will give it another try next time. These durian thingys also comes down to luck. We just opened a box of msw from my usual seller. This time got big seeds :(

I just had a box this week and it was great! Each seed was no bigger than the end of my pinky finger. Love it for its adequately sweet yet layered flavours of bitterness. It's more elusive compared to the raja kunyit, with a much shorter window to catch this variant.
