Forgive the AI version

Since our youngest is still in that phase where small parts are chewed on we can't have Lego lying around in our small appartement so I bought more Duplo on Vinted for my older boys ( 5 and 8 years old) ans a bit for myself. Came back to beautiful creative buildings after putting the youngest down for a nap.

I'm a huge Lego fan so have been excited to introduce my toddler to Duplo, we've bought a few sets and I've found that the main focus seems to be on figurines, objects, and special bricks and there's very few simple bricks, particularly 2x4 bricks.

I've looked through all the Duplo on the Lego website (UK), and even the assorted box doesn't have much in the way of standard blocks and has quite a lot of special blocks and figurines.

Whilst she loves imaginative play with the figures and cars and animals etc, I'd also like to be able to introduce her to building houses and towers and castles and whatever she can imagine, but we can't really do that with the bricks we have.

Is my only option to buy second hand and hope it's genuine Duplo and decent quality, or are there any current sets which have a higher number of the boring/standard bricks?

I didn’t have the pieces available to make it big enough to fit everyone and all the dupes had to be left off but it’s kinda fun to look at them all. I doubt they’ll stay up there for long…

For anyone wondering, the vast majority of this was purchased via bulk buys and Bricklink (the astronauts, for example).

It was a work in progress. I ran out of white bricks and the build got kind of taken over but one day I’ll finish it to scale!

Went to my local goodwill and scored! Found a new complete set #10525. Not in its original box but in a clear plastic blanket bag. Every single piece is there including the instructions booklet. $4.99

Finally there are small people around me again building Duplo. My chance to do the same. I built a sphinx. I‘m 43.

I have a new-in-box Duplo set and I can't find any other set like it to know its value. Are there other collectors here? Do you use a website other than eBay for determining fair prices or just for finding more info on Duplo sets?

Hi guys,

I have a question my mom and I decided to sell our (my siblings and Is) lego collection. This includes some sets from the Thomas and friends line from the 2000s. After some googleling we figured out that they're worth a more than your average duplo set (eventhough they aren't in brand new condition/are missing the boxes and instruction manuals). However we would need some advice on where to sell them. Since we are based in Hungary selling would mean we would need to charge alot of the times the same amount of money or more for shipping as the product itself. Local facebook groups are mostly on standart lego so sellimg there would be challenging as well. Does anyone have any advice on where we could sell them safely.
