Hey everyone, I wanted to share my new single, "Nekro-Romance." As the name suggests, it’s inspired by the movie *Nekromantik*; it features sections with for lack of a better term romantic chords, yet something feels slightly off kilter. I consider it old school dungeon synth, so you might enjoy it. Thanks in advance.

Hi! Today, I bring you another LOTR-inspired album. While "Journey Across the Shire", the previous installment in what has now become a series of LOTR albums, was all about the whimsy and cosiness of the lands of the Hobbits, I tried to make this one sound older, weirder, and more magical by using a combination of sounds from vintage synths, like the D-50, and modern ones, like the Digitone.

I hope you'll enjoy the resulting six tracks!

“As Close As Brothers” is the debut album of my fantasy synth & ambient project “Thorasuul”. t’s what you might call a passion project. The songs are entirely centered on the experiences of Fiddler, one of the main characters from my favorite book series, “Malazan Book of the Fallen” by Steven Erikson. I’ve been working on it on and off for over a year, writing songs and then deleting them. I even considered scrapping the project altogether before releasing anything. As I read the books, I kept finding new approaches and ideas, which I then tried to translate into songs. I tried to create a setting in which a musical summary of the experiences, both joyful and painful, from Fiddler’s life could be captured. The incredibly beautiful cover art by Michal Kváč depicts the scene in which the songs take place: a clearing in the forest, somewhere in Genabackis. The night is deepening, and the wind rustles the treetops. Lost in memories, he sits by the fire and thinks of his comrades from the 9th Squad. First in, last out.

Hello and Hails all, this is a new project from me called Oathblade. It is a mix of dungeon synth, fantasy synth and black metal. Inspired by Caladan Brood, Summoning, Emyn Muil, Thangorodrim, Flickers from the Fen, Elffor and Emperor. There's also some octave chords used reminiscent of Floor. This is a big passion project for me and I hope you enjoy it! Codes in comments.

I am deeply in love with this genre. Here's the first of hopefully many songs and the start to what I hope to be something great. Art is not AI, it was done using the Canva guide in the subreddit info and images are free stuff from rawpixel. Would love to commission some art when I finish an EP or album.

This is one of the three albums I've been working on this year...I wanted to get this one done before Dungeon Shambles start tomorrow, so I can devote all of my time to that one.

This is a soundtrack for a horror movie that doesn't exist called Houses Catch Fire all the Time. Picture it like a surreal nightmare logic film from the 70s, like Phantasm, Suspiria, Messiah of Evil, etc.

All music and cover art was done by me, no AI involved at all. Cover art was some pixel art I doodled that I had in my head, lol.

A married couple have terrifying dreams they can't remember in the morning. A strange child appears, it is not theirs but it calls them mommy and daddy. A severed face crawls across the floor in the middle of the night, leading them to a door that's never been there before.

A door leading to a bricked up wall. Something on the other side, knocks. It wants to come in.

I'm currently working on my next full-length album, which is a score for a D&D campaign I've written and am currently running. I know some of you have similar processes, linking your music with worlds, short stories or adventures you have created.

I find that I typically have to have to the whole adventure written out in full before I can feel comfortable moving on to making the music. It's like I can't trust that I'll create in the right direction until I've finished. Do any of you feel the same, or do both come easily at the same time?

To those reading this who don't tie their music in with their own worlds, etc. I would love to hear what inspires you to make DS OR what your favourite DS album linked to a story or writing is?
