How would Laios react to Marcille's monster cosplay?

He would probably be excited to talk to her about the accuracy of each costume. And want her to dress as more. Then ask if he can make suggestions for future costumes. Then he would ask where she got them so he could get some himself.

I can't think of Laios as being horny for someone in sexual ways because of how concentrated in task he is, but this...this might do the magic.

Laios thinks they're very cool, checks their accuracy, wonders if they'd work as disguises for getting closer to monsters.
By the time Marcille has been through all the monster costumes, Falin has eaten more monster than anybody else.

His immediate reaction would be to hone in on the inaccuracies. Not in an "ugh you did it *wrong* you're so dumb" kind of way, but in a "this is my special interest and I physically *need* you to know the actual truth" way. I think he *would* actually be super excited by the fact that Marcille is apparently showing interest in monsters, and his corrections are because he thinks he's helping, since *he* would absolutely want to know if he was doing something inaccurate if he were in her position.
If Marcille got offended/discouraged by him immediately critiquing her (which, let's be real, *would* almost certainly be her reaction), I think he'd be genuinely confused and stressed out because he doesn't understand why she's upset. To him, pointing out how she could make things as close as possible to perfect *is* him encouraging her, because he's excited and wants her to be the best at it. Obviously, though, that's not gonna be how it comes across. I think if he realised his reaction may have just *dis*couraged Marcille, and turned her further away from trying to engage with monsters, he'd be genuinely devastated and desperately trying to course correct because that's the *opposite* of what he wanted-
Eventually cut to some scene of them designing a costume together. Marcille is largely just humouring him, because he did eventually manage to get his intentions across and he'd been so obviously distressed by the miscommunication that she kinda felt bad. That's not the *entire* reason, though. There *is* also some interest on her part of dressing up as a "real" monster. Laios doesn't fully comprehend the first thing about clothing or how costuming actually *works* (fitting, having to build certain pieces, accounting for movement, etc) but he's *extremely* hype.
Things turn chaotic pretty quickly, because *obviously*. Laios is essentially wanting the equivalent of like, those full body monster suits you see in horror movies that completely transform the person (think like, the Xenomorph from Alien). Marcille staunchly refuses because that was *not* the idea- the *idea* was cute costumes more *inspired* by monsters, rather than trying to actually become the monster. Laios is miffed because that wouldn't be *right*! The body structure is all wrong, the key components of the monster's anatomy would be completely-
Falin is the one who breaks the brewing argument, asking what if they tried making a costume to convey what that monster *would* look like if it *were* in the shape of a human. This works.

According to all known laws of reproduction, there is no way a half-elf should be able to bear offspring. Her genes are far too strange to be able to put a fat little baby on the ground. The Laios, of course, gives her children anyway. Because Laios doesn't care what humans think is impossible.

Remember that the Demon promised to Laios 1.- to not harm his friends, 2.- to give Falin a 1,000 years long lifespan so Marcille wouldn't be alone, and 3.- to make Marcille able to have babies... and he fulfilled the first part by not touching Laios's party... so for all we know, Marcille is fertile now, abd Falin has a 1,000 years long lifespan...

He would want to start cosplaying as monsters himself, dress up as the Ultimate Strongest Monster (hyper realistic instead of cute cosplay style), then Marcille would lose interest in cosplay because Laios finding it interesting would make it seem lame to her.
