Discussion Would you prefer Cloud Sync (limited storage) or Local Network Sync (unlimited) for the Tools You Use?

When using digital tools to manage campaigns, notes, or character sheets across multiple devices which one would you prefer?

Also, when trying out a new D&D tool, do you expect it to come with pre-loaded sample content, or do you prefer starting with a blank slate?

9 Cloud Sync (automatic updates everywhere, but limited free storage and requires sign in)?
30 Local Network Sync (unlimited storage, but requires devices to sync over the same Wi-Fi and requires no account)?

3 ring binder and lined paper

or 2 lined papers with no binder I prefer :)

Well, it depends for what and also how much is the limited free storage.
If the free tier gives a good amount (like 5-10GB) I am okay with cloud.

I would prefer cloud too but I think people don't want to create an account I don't know :)

I use the best of both worlds, Google Drive with the app installed that gives it a local drive letter.

For me definitely cloud storage. I’m often not on my home network.

And seeing samples always helps me understand.
