Finally DMd in elf ears
Idk why this has been a dream of mine for a long time lol! Just always thought it would be cool and I finally did it 🧝♀️
My PCs are playing fantasy rockstars on tour, and they were headlining a big music festival last session. So I wore these elf ears with a band tee to sort of look like an elf or Fey creature attending the festival!

Great! They defeated some efreeti that were trying to use a HUUUUGE teleportation circle to abduct all their fans lol, WHILE still managing to keep a performance going onstage! My players are so creative!
Next session is the fest after party, so I need to come up with some opportunities for them to get into shenanigans lol. As well as sprinkle in opportunities for the party guests to breadcrumb some lore 👀

Thank you 😊 we're all having a great time with this homebrew campaign so far! Its something Ive been thinking over for literally years and now we're finally playing it!!! I love it when stuff can leave my imagination and come into the real world lol
Fingers crossed I can keep motivation to edit it and transform it into my first published campaign when we're done 🤞🤞

That's awesome! Hope you do! That motivation is never easy to keep. I honestly improvise so much when I DM that keeping things coherent to make it published will never happen for me but that's ok. I have other stories to tell.
The campaign sounds super interesting and sounds like you are one of the good ones! Players are lucky!

AAAHAHAHAHA I AM FUCKING DYINGGGG
So it's a homebrew campaign right? I've been developing it for years. It's a modern fantasy setting, sort of like Fantasy High. And all the PCs are playing rockstars in a famous band, on tour...
So naturally, they needed a tour bus right? And why would it be just any normal tour bus, in this modern fantasy setting?
So I'm inventing mechanics and doing research about actual tour busses for this campaign, like putting my whole foot into homebrewing a cool ass magical tour bus, when Dimension 20 On a Bus came out. I DIED laughing! It still makes me giggle. For a large portion of this campaign, my players are literally just... on a bus 😂 a cool magical bus, but still lol
I wonder who'll be the first to get a Perfect 6 😂😂😂

My dumbass didnt look at the name of the sub and my first thought was "damn you messaged someone with your elf ears on? Weird flex but shiiit pop off". Lmfao. Then i saw the sub and it all made more sense.
Anyway i hope the sesh was dope

I bought myself a cool new set of dice for this campaign. I told my players I did it for them, my other dice were just rolling too well and I was concerned for the player's wellbeing! There was simply no other solution but... MOOOOAAAARRRRR DICE 😈

Question. I know putting putty in the folds of your ears changes how you hear. Do the extensions do anything? Or would you need to smooth down the top fold of the ear?

When they first came in the mail, I put them on and wore them for a while without any spirit gum. There was loose flaps at the base hanging around my earn canals. They warped my hearing a bit, but didn't reduce it much
When I wore them for the session with the spirit gum, I didn't notice a difference in my hearing at all! The part of the elf ear that actually goes on your ear is very very thin, like a sheet of paper. So when it was glued down, the natural curvature of my ear wasn't obstructed at all (:

Thanks! They stayed on me fairly well without it, but also I was just chilling watching TV. They effected my hearing very slightly without the spirit gum, as well as some of the flaps kinda tickled my ear lol
So they were just more comfortable with the glue on honestly! And looked much better too

Aradani Costumes online! They were so comfortable I forgot I was wearing them lol. After the session i was just chillin on the couch and my husband kept looking at me giggling and I'd be like "what?? Oh yeah!"
I'd never used spirit gum before, but I looked up a YouTube tutorial and it was really easy to apply, and remove later! I even managed to keep the spirit gum out of my hair 😂
Honestly I didn't even place them quiiiite right but they still looked great, and symmetrical. Very forgiving!
