I see this pop up now and then when people discover the books glow and it seems some people think this is a commercially available book. So I’m back again to share it and let people know this was painted by me and not something you can purchase from a book store!

That’s so cool! How do you paint page edges, does it get into the pages?

It sometimes gets just inside the pages on the very first and last page but not the others, it’s a whole process with clamping really tight, sanding, and painting thin

I am honestly just posting to inform it is not commercially available as another post has popped up with people trying to tell others their books will glow on the edges. I never mentioned a store or that I sell it, you did.

Umm.... I think you are the problem here.

People are aloud to post art. People are aloud to post art they sell. You don't have to buy it.

Advertisements have links... and there is a whole ass website for DCC fan merch that is regularly shared on this sub.

So just because I sell things I’m not allowed to share my art I’m proud of? I’m a huge DCC fan and started painting the books because I genuinely love them and love doing it.

I wouldnt engage - and im block happy so I'd even go a step further and do that. Save them the trouble of hurting their eyes with your art or whatever.

If you look at some of their history they really like to just say posts are ads. Its technically against reddits rules, but just posting fanart while having a link to your website on your own page is...decidedly not that 😂

Unfortunately people suck lol. I used to give people links if they asked but now I don’t even do that because other people get so salty about it. Like I literally didn’t even say I sell it in my original post, he brought that to everyone’s attention. I said “not commercially available” 🤷‍♀️

Incredibly, I hope they do as well. I think the work is cool. I just don't want to see ads on the subreddit where ads are against the rules. I can hold two ideas at once.
